I built myself a dedicated spoke cutting station. Spokes will go in bins on the shelves below, and the bins are enroute. Stereo will get moved.

ordered Abbey bearing press. wife is likely going to beat my ass.

JQ/ ABT needs a smoked out section, as I have questions and comments and feel bad PM'ing him all the time.

    1) That Campy bearing drift is hot. Haven't noticed that before. Many times I would've loved to have had that thing in my hands at the shop.

    2) Any chance of seeing a slimmer pedal wrench?

Dustin, do you have a blueprint for that bench, or is it of your own design?

Between those two articles you've got a pretty good idea of where I came from. I could go in depth but it would get boring.

Do you want a narrower pedal wrench or something lighter?

It's DIY...but I do have a CAD file, PM me your e-mail if you want it. If you want to figure it out yourself, it's 4ft wide, 1'9" deep, 2'10" height. Here's the bins in place. I need some more.

I'm not on board with making them narrower, the wider they are the more durable they are. Until somebody comes out with a pedal that creates a clearance issue I don't see a point in making them narrower. For our sponsored mechanics I have hogged out the middle of the wrench and saved about a half pound with no real loss of durability. That might make it into the line as a 'team issue' product at some point.

I saw that while googling for size comparison shots. That really knocked out half a pound? Damn.

I take that back. I made one without the hex bits in the tail that was hollowed out that was 1/2# lighter. If we keep the hex bits and the fork the mount within it's more like 1/4# savings.

I bought a new (old) lathe today. A Victor 16x40 engine lathe. Not romantic like an old Hardinge but it's across town and the price was right. It'll be here in the morning!
