Not tuesday and technically not a tool, but yesterday I got this empty 10 drawer roller tool cabinet. Too cheap to pass the deal as it cannot be sold anymore as my co-worker crashed it while loading it in the van and it was full of tools. I had to replace the sliders on the three drawers and it's fully working condition again. Now I can get my frame building tools organized better.

Nice, I love the 3-way socket. I need to pick up another.

I've been wanting to show off some new tools that I've gotten over the past couple of months, but I forgot to take photos of them once again. Some PB Swiss screwdrivers, Knipex cable cutters and cobolt mini bolt cutter (great for a lot of things, in a shop environment they're awesome for trimming fender struts). There is one thing that I'm most excited about though. I was trying to think of a way to organize and store my 1/4" drive bits. After much planning and experimenting, I decided on a design, but I had trouble fabricating it myself. Forum member Dancingbear was generous enough to offer his time, skills, and materials and make the piece of aluminum below. I tried making it at home with what little tooling I have, and after cutting the sheet to size with several dozen passes of a razor knife, I thought drilling the holes would be the easy part. He made it seem like cake. Anyway, the aluminum bolted perfectly to my wood base and now it all proudly displays my bits.IMG_20150622_164816.jpgIMG_20150629_193006_538.jpg

I was in the moto shop checking out quads the other day and the only thing I really wanted to buy was this T-Handle Torque Wrench:
FIXT PRO Torque T-Handle: Customizable product features with 3/8″ drive | Fixt Products

Really cool idea, built in torque meter.

My new Morizumi spoke machine came in last week. Still need to make a base for it, should be able to knock that out this weekend. And since I can roll my own threads now, I stocked up on some white spokes. I bought all the white Wheelsmiths one of my distributors had in stock.

Looks cool, but not sure I'd see them replacing a torque wrench, given that you can't seem to be able to pre-set a precise torque. Instead it would appear to give a (rough) measure of the torque you are applying as you apply it (assuming you can see the scale as you use it!).... if I care enough to use a torque wrench not sure I see this being the right tool for the job.....

    Jumping the gun a bit....

New tool box for the bike specific tools to replace the old Rubbermaid toolbox (latches broke). It's a B&W Jet5000. I think B&W makes the Park blue tool case as well, but this is a heavier duty box than the Park box. I still need to do some rearranging and possibly some culling to get everything to fit. My Campy straight edge is too long to go into the box and I have a bunch of old tools which I probably will never use again. I might start a thread "should it stay or should it go". Only complaint is that the lid won't stay open with the lid pallet loaded up, probably how I have it loaded and maybe need to pack a bungee. By the way, good tool trivia: The Campy straight edge is the only Campy tool that is not marked with a Campagnolo mark of some sort (as of '90s)

Thanks for throwing this in the mix Joe! We developed these with Moto applications in mind. My buddy's wrapped me into this to help with development a few years ago. I prefer 2 wheels of the pedal variety so naturally we started looking at a more cycle specific version as well. This version isn't available just yet, but this seems like a great place to get some honest feedback. This is a 2-8 N*M, magnetic bit drive version. No presetting, no clicking, just turn it over until the value lines up to the arrow. I don't want to say to much but rather get some opinions on first impressions. We're making them here in Denver. All critiques are welcome of course. Final cost is TBD.

Those look rad. I like the single torque bontrager unit I have but this would cover more bases.

That looks a killer thing, and not only for the mechanic on the move.
It gets my thumbs up for using a 1/4" Hex drive, to reduce redundancy of handles. Make it up to 14Nm (for Ht2 crank pinch bolts) and becomes perfect, as long as price&weight are on human scale. The latter should be low anyway.

Hey, you can't can't throw those nice toys here and leave us with "TBD"
