95-61-190 is the version I've got. They do a version with the ergo handles that are a little more substantial in your hand as well.

UPS dropped one of these guys off today. It's going to see a lot of use in the next week.

I got a couple old vises this weekend. One big 5 1/2" made in Japan Fuller and a small, abused made in USA Craftsman. Both are soaking in apple cider vinegar right now to knock some of the rust off. I got some 2000 *F primer to put on and some LPS 3 for the bare metal parts. Not sure about top coat colors yet.

do not forget to do a heated and agitated overnight neutralizer once the acid get in it never stops , FYI Tang works a bit better and is safer as the acid is not as aggressive to clean metal

Thanks for the heads up. I was going to do a water and baking soda soak followed by hot soap and water rinse and blow dry before primer.

I finally broke my original 'production' chain tool so it was time to make a new one. I still want to make another one that uses an air cylinder but this will do for a while.

This fork jig is not quite the aesthetic quality of most tools on here but it helped me build my first fork and it came out dead straight. There may have been an element of luck in there but until I build a couple more I won't know. I have some preliminary ideas for a new fork jig when I figure out eaxactly what I need for my method. to be honest it will probably be very similar but with some more refined clamps and some scales to make things a bit easier to measure and line up and some better access between the fork and the jig. How many different ways can you hold a fork?

    Keep the thread clean.
Ours got a bit of swarf and the thread got busted. Shame it was replaced with the cheaper version; which is actually more robust, but the handles are missing the unthreaded first bit, so when you spin the them to release they fall out of the thread (the "pro" version has the unthreaded portion of the handle that keeps it on the shaft)

The inflator is only sold as a bare tool. Since I already have a DeWalt impact driver I decided that a "lesser" Craftsman would do fine for my travel pack, especially since it was only $80 for the driver, battery and charger, less than a separate battery and charger would've been. Have to admit though...it's pretty nice. Three speeds, metal gears and feels solid.

Anyone have experience with Bahco tools? I'm considering a pair of their thin jaw adjustable wrenches instead of a twin set of cone wrenches.

nice work on the air pump. Something I'd kind of like to have but just can't bring myself to jump ship from Milwaukee.

The only Bahco tools I've ever used (don't own any) were hacksaws. However since they are a division of Snap On I've got to imagine the quality is pretty respectable.

Bahco stuff is good, they actually patented the adjustable wrench a while ago

Admitted Yellow tool junkie, but they do make great tools for my main trade, finish carpentry.

I'm going to give the Bahcos a try. They're not cheap, but they are about the same as a full cone wrench set...and far less bulky.

Do you think for my stated purpose the 6" or 8" would be better?
