Just got the Cyclus press for Campag hub races for the shop only, now no more runs between us and our warehouse!

We got shipped a vice without a handle from some Amazon reseller. Everyone involved passed the buck so I ended up making a handle for the thing.

The way they come there is just a recess where the rubber grommet sits. I turned one into a piece of CroMo but it kept popping off and mashing the rubber. Time for some friday over engineering. A handle is a tool right?

The rubber end piece fits here and a washer sits on the slightly narrower shoulder.

This chamfer'd end piece threads on to the end with the bolt recessed.

Voila! Far more satisfying than expected.

Anyone have a sweet pump reccomendation- travel friendly for race mechanics.....using the Craftsman air gun (Cyclocross friendly) but would love a consistent Pit-Pump

I've got one of these and although I haven't used it a whole lot I dig it. Specialized Bicycle Components

It moves a decent amount of air, is fairly stable considering what you're working with. I'm not crazy about the gauge but it's better than nothing. Put your favorite chuck on it and you'll be good to go, and won't have to worry about batteries!

The specialized is a little more compact and the handle has screw on end caps so you can stash random stuff in it. Plus it comes all the way off and keeps the profile to a minimum.

How does everyone store their spokes? I've heaps of different lengths, shapes and colours and it is getting untidy and hard to find what I want when I want. Suggestions.

Seems none of my local shops had a 44mm reamer/facer so I bought my own.

Only one shop (out of 3) near me even has a 1-1/8", and they don't have a 44. And guess what I'm building next...

You can get the Cyclus 44mm reamer / facer from Germany online bike shops for a reasonable amount.

Almost everything I plan to build going forward will be 44mm. I do have a pair of lugged commuters planned, but my buddy's shop does have 1 1/8th.

So looking to upgrade my cable cutters, I have seen Knipex wire rope cutters as a common fav throughout this thread....anyone have a model number or link they can share? There are a dizzying array of cutters by them- thanks!

Just received a Cyclus UT bearing press. Somehow, hammering bearings to install does not seem right.

You might need the EVT press for that.
