Losing the Ergolever 11s tiny brass washer.

I managed to push out an lose the tiny brass washer from which the derailleur cable exits 11s Ergolevers. I spent 30 minutes trying to find it on the floor and another 30 minutes trying to find an LBS that had a replacement. No one knows about this part, even the Campy "pro shop" and apparently it's not even in the Campy service manual! One store said I'd have to buy a full rebuild kit to get it. So I'm frustrated, sweaty and generally pissed. AND it's too early to have a drink. Then it occurs to me: Ergo has two cable routing options. There's an onboard spare for the washer! I push it out and all is good again.

I love it when that happens. Feel like complete crap then realize everything is fine with the solution right in front of you. Luckily that seems to rarely happen to me these days. It's after noon here, why is that too early to have a drink?

Haha, yeah, I have done that before too. Then found the brass washer, 3 months later. If that ever happens, you can always call Campagnolo North America. They have been awesome about getting small (inexpensive) shifter lever parts when I lose them. The three times that has happened.

Same thing happened to me. Lost the washer only to realize later that I could borrow from the other cable port. I then went back and pulled the extras from my other levers so I have a few spares on hand. I contacted a few shops who told me they couldn't order the washer "ferrule". At least I have back ups now.
