    I really like the sram tape. Even though it does have the sram branding all over it. The texture matches my hoods. Nice grip even when wet and not wearing gloves. Not as thick as cork, padding is just right. Wraps great also. So far durability is great.

    Cinelli Cork, black. When I was into being painfully "euro" I would run the white fizik superlight tape because it was the only one that would stay reasonably white.

    That sounds key. I've had good luck with the Deda stuff so far, resilient and washable, stretchy yet tough enough to be re-wrapped.

    Hoping for the NFS of bar tape.

    Forgot to mention; Both of my bikes have Fizik Bar Gel under the tape.
    Incredibly durable and generally awesome.

    In regards to Lizard skin delaminating:

    If you email the company they will respond and tell you they will send you new tape. It will never show up! I have the same problem with Lizard Skin which I guess is caused by stretching too much during installation. I'm keeping mine on as long as I can stand it just to tell people it is Lizard Skin.

    I will remove it when I can't stand it anymore or when they tape they said they would send me arrives. It has only been 3 months. Maybe they are just busy.

    Even if it did show up;

    I was in a shop the other day and I'm about 99% sure that the PRO digital carbon is the exact same as the Arundel Gecko tape, minus the Arundel branding. After a few rides, I've decided that I like it enough in the dry and with gloves on, but just for giggles, I used a spray bottle to get it wet and it is slick, in the bad way, at least with bare hands. If the current dry spell ends and it starts getting sloppy midway through the season, I may end up re-wrapping with the Fizik Superlight tacky stuff.

    I remember the Arundel Gecko to be ok even when wet?
    Btw, what stem is that, and the bar tape should end towards you. Nice cake on the bars, tho

    Arundel Gecko is much harder than the Shimano's tape. Definitely a different material.

    I hate wrapping bars. No matter how good I think I'm doing I still screw it up. From now on I think I'll leave it to a pro.

    I'm the worst wrapper in the world (rapper too). The Zipp service course tape goes on easy. I didn't even have to unwrap it to fix mistakes.

    I think that's an old ITM carbon/aluminum bar. The aluminum will corrode, but the carbon is unaffected.

    I now have a few rides on the NFS tape and I gotta say it's great. I went for the logo-to-logo overlay, which wraps up thicker than normal tape since it's so wide. I was curious how the extra thick wrap would feel, but the larger grip feels nice and combined with the cushioning the tape offers, it's a very comfortable setup. It also has grip for days. No rides in the rain yet to see how it does when soaked but it doesn't lose any grip with sweaty hands. This is perfect since I hate wearing gloves. Between this and the recently discovered Zipp Service Course tape, PRO smart silicone is no longer at the top of my list.
