It's a shame the camera doesn't get the colour right, because in real life this was a very close match!

Could you be more specific? I just look at the Fizik site and they have so many different tapes now that my head is spinning!

I'm still loving the new Fizik Terra tape, even on non-gravel bikes. Did 100 today on a bike with Terra tape and it's so nice.

I wear gloves almost all the time now, but didn’t used to - so I know what you mean there too.
    Rich,

How have you been making out with the SQ Labs tape? Have you tried to remove it yet? How'd it go?

Just removed the tape from my Time - came of really cleanly and easily.

This tape is great. I got caught in a hefty downpour at the weekend and never once felt like the bars were slippy (in fact I never thought about the bars at all, which further confirms that); and it is super-comfy and grippy in the dry too.

I hope they make a white one as it looks like it might even be washable. I can't see them doing a big range of colours, but if you like black or red, I'd definitely source it.

It looks cool but like nylon webbing. How does it feel?

I'm going to give Newbaums cloth tape a try, I originally liked the Brooks cotton tape...unfortunately here in Australia there aren't as many colours available as the US.

Especially, you can only wrap it well on bars with smooth curves as the ones above. Try with "compact" or "ergo" shape bars and becomes a nightmare.
Hopefully that is different and has some degree of stretch.

I see that there are many Fizik fans on this thread. Was wondering for those that have been using a long time, what, if any, changes occurred to make it so likable that it now has a fan base? Tried it twice, believe it was around 2008/09-ish, and both times, it wasn't long enough for a decent wrap/coverage-had zero stretchability-and-was prone to rip/tearing during the install. Was a long time Deda Cork tape user, switching to Lizard Skins about 5 years ago, and have been happy with it so far, it lasts, is easy to clean and it wears well and seems durable enough (which seems to be a major thing that others have an issue with?), but have an itch to try something different these days. Maybe it's time, 11-12 years on, to give Fizix another whirl, the color pallet is definitely appealing enough!? FWIW, do not wear gloves except in colder temps.

The newer versions, like the Terra, are completely different tape than the stuff from 11 years ago. I can’t stand Lizard Skins and would rate the Fizik as much better. More comfortable and easier to wrap.
