    Default Downtube to ERGO

I just received my new Nagasawa brazed with down tube shifter bosses. However, I want to use an 11sp Campagnolo group. The lbs currently only has Shimano STI cable stop adapters. Will Campagnolo cables work well with Shimano STI downtube cable stop and adjusters?

Yes they will, but Campy adaptors exist as well.

Any advantage of the campy versus shimano? I just want to ride it ASAP!

The advantage is that they are Campy. Part number is EC-RE001

The advantage is that Campagnolo parts look cooler.

I think the Shimano look better than the Campagnolo ones. Yes, the adjustment is plastic, but the socket is shiny and the spring is hidden from view... Just get whatever works. Your ferrules should be interchangeable too.

I guess I'm surprised your new shifters didn't come with them. Do the new Campy shifters not include all the schtuff the old ones did?!

Get that thing built up already so you can come out east and ride. I want to see it.

Any chance we can get a teaser shot before you build it up? I've always had a soft spot for Nagasawa bikes.

Pretty bad photo. It's at the shop, and they say it'll be built by Monday

Weird. Funny, I hadn't even noticed... Guess I don't build enough bikes with downtube cable stops. Just rebuilt a friend's late-70s Marinoni (bought new, customer, when he was seventeen, and when Marinoni apparently spoke very little Enlgish) with SR, and...it didn't come with downtube cable stops. I used Shimanos.
