You beat me to the punch Lou. Awesome. See you there. Look for me. I'll be the guy slinging NFS in the parking lot.
I'm riding sweep at a fairly gentle pace. All slackers welcome.
Hoping NOT to break a crank arm this year (sheesh).

Hey Josh and Lou, great minds . . . . Just signed up for all 4 Kermesse Sports events, though it's unlikely I will indeed make all of them. Would love to ride again this year with you for a distance greater than 8 miles. And would love to meet Lou and other VSers.

BTW, the Sourland Classic on Feb. 25 looks like a blast. A cold blast, but fun nevertheless. I'm signed up and plan to be there, at least right now.

    Later, mates. Tim

    And to add a touch of the bizarre, Floyd Landis is registered for HoH. Maybe I'll get my money back for the book :}

Nope, it's him. Listed Floyd's of Leadville as his team. He showed up at Battenkill a few years ago, so not the first time he's been at regional amateur events.

Cool event and the organizer is no slouch, he makes it all easy and seamless.

Did mention free chainlube? Find me in the parking lot and get lub'd.

From the organizer, just passing along, not trying to start a thread about Floyd:

    Q&A with Floyd Landis
Please join us at the Elks Lodge on Saturday, March 17th, the evening prior to the Hell of Hunterdon, for a Question & Answer session with former professional cyclist Floyd Landis. Floyd will talk about his cycling career, his life after professional cycling, and his “Floyd’s of Leadville” business, among other subjects. The event is free of charge, but donations to the Elks Lodge Charity Fund are suggested; all proceeds benefit Children with Special Needs

The event is open to the public; you do NOT need to be registered for any Kermesse Sport Ride in order to attend.

Even though this is a non-competitive event, the winter weather and life have left me badly undertrained. Still looking forward to it.

I'm not talking about the weather noooope ;)

The laughing group leaves after the masses thin out a bit. Look for myself and T.K. if you want a more measured pace. Don't join us unless you know some bad jokes and can fix a broken crank with found materials. << It's a "thing" don't ask.

By "measured pace" do you mean tongue hanging out, snot nosed and gasping for air to us mere mortals?

Looking forward to seeing you guys; weather looking decent. Looks like they may have to take some of the more interesting sections (Rocktown Road) out due to downed trees; hopefully gets rectified. Talking pace about right for me at this point after a too long winter. Anyone coming from out of town, drop me a PM if you need anything/forget anything, etc.

What a blast and no I didn't break another crank. T.K. myself and Tim. P. rolled out after the first wave and worked our way to the back for a successful HOH.
Brian creates a truly Baller-worthy course. The chow and beers aferwards only serve to emphasize why this is on your calendar for next year.

    I need a nap.

HOH is an amazing course and day on the bike. Josh and Tom Kellogg were incredibly supportive in helping me get around--waiting on the climbs for me on more than several occasions. Class acts all around.

The winds out of the NW were a beotch, I gotta say. And there was more than one long, fast gravel descent that really got your attention. For my second ride on the road this year I was pretty happy. 75 miles/5400 ft.

    Thanks, Too Tall and TK!

    Tim
