Default First Annual Bay Area VS Ride

Having not ridden with the vast majority of Bay Areaers I would like to put some faces to names on Sunday September 26th. I have two loops in mind which will be determined by overall participation levels. The first is Tam by way of Fairfax and the second is OLH/Haskins/Tunitas or something similar leaving from Woodside. If Watoni/962 are the only people who can go then I'll head down to Woodside, if Nerdwin and a few others that live in the city are the only that can roll then it makes more sense to launch the ride from here.

Does the date NOT work for anyone who would be interested in going otherwise?

    Nate

I'll be supporting the Knoxville Double that Saturday. Sunday would work, but I'll be taking it pretty easy in anticipation of FC508 the following week. But please don't schedule around me.

And the 26th works just as well for me.

Watoni and I are riding Knoxville on 9/25. I won't be able to do the 26th. Another date might work and I'd love to do the ride, just not on 9/26.

People may be away Labor Day weekend, but I'll try to swing it, likely on Saturday or Monday. Either route listed above works for me, as they're almost equidistant from Oakland.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to play it by ear. Depends on whether the baby's coming early or not... :P

I'm also in for KX on 9/25. Though free on 9/26 would rather ride when we can connect with others too.
Let me know if you reschedule.

The 25th / 26th weekend is not good for me unless it is a short ride as I have the 508 the following weekend. Keep me up to sped as I would love to join in especially if mid to late October

I could likely do the 4th. As Vlad said, I am planning on Knoxville on the 25th.

Either route should work for me.

Let's aim for the 4th down in Woodside then.

    That sounds good.

One point is that it being Labor Day weekend we should get out fairly early.

Being on Woodside Road we see the traffic patterns first hand.

I would suggest warming up through Woodside (Canada, Olive Hill, Albion) and then cutting through Huddard Park to the top of Kings, going via skyline/84E to Old la Honda, then going via either 84W or Alpine over Haskins to Pescadero, Stage, Tunitas.

About 65 miles, 8000 feet. This shows the route other than the Huddard Park bit, which won't show up on ridewithgps

    Proposed Salonista Ride (Woodside)

I'm interested, if we head out early enough... family obligations in the early afternoon. Would be great to meet up, even if I have to bail partway through the ride.

I am in Palm Springs this weekend. Have a good ride everyone. I'll do some high heat training while I'm there. (But it's dry heat...)

Aww but I wanted to climb West Alpine and Tunitas.

I might also have to bail as a friend just texted to say he will be in town Sat-Mon as he is racing Giro d'SF. I should know for sure by tomorrow.

I might be able to pull this off, but I'd also need an early start (like 7am?). In case I can't make it, here's the face that goes with the Nerdwin name...

    Cool let me know.

I am happy to do West Alpine and Tunitas (you just need to backtrack a bit).

If we defer, then I am headed to Sonoma to do Coleman Valley, Fort Ross, King Ridge, Kruse Ranch and Willow Creek ...

I might be able to pull this off if we leave early....7 is my typically agreed-upon departure from the family mayhem.

Friday is my birthday though, so I may be moving slow on Sat am...I'll probably have to make the call when I pry my eyes open.
