    Default 2017 Chicago Rides Thread

    I'm up for just about any ride if anyone wants to meet up. My schedule rotates so weekdays work as good as weekends.

    I like to do a century around my birthday but this year scheduling is pushing it to early August. The plan is to ride from home (Logan Square) to Palos (Maple Lake East) and do a bunch of single and wide track then ride back home. I will probably do a week day to avoid the crowds on the single track unless there are others that want to come along can only do weekends.

    I would recommend a CX or adventure type bike.

    My birthday is August 4, and I need miles. Never been to Palos, believe it or not. Could probably swing a weekday, which might be good to minimize family impact for me.

    Cool. Palos has some pretty good stuff.

    I'm racing the Palos Meltdown on the 6th. The days that work best are August 11,14,15,16,17.

    Any chance of July 31 or August 1 or 2? Gets hard after that, potentially 8/16 but would be contingent on moving some other stuff around.

    I must not have submitted my first reply.

    I don't want my legs too tired for the race so the 16th would be the best for me. But if you can't make it work then the 31st will probably work. My wife has something on the calendar for that day and I have no idea what it means. I'll find out later.
