    Default Watchstraps

My Omega has an all metal SS band...it is awesome BUT for the recent treasure from Sir Musgrave the Seiko needs an NATO strap like this:

Currently I have an Maratac NATO strap in olive drab which is very understated and appropriate for the watch:

    At < $20 a pop you can't go too crazy ;)

I have 4 straps for my Panerai: dark brown croc, black leather, light brown leather, and black rubber. I guess I rotate them equally .... sometimes I'm just in a black on black mood. If I want to try to dress it up just a little, I go for the croc. There are so many aftermarket strap makers that my head spins when I search for a new strap. I want a NATO style strap very soon.

Go nuts. maratac The strap dries out in mins. and I barely feel it during daily wear.

I lost a watch while surfing in CA back in the 80s. It was a pricy watch and I still miss it. If I had it mounted on a NATO style band, it would still be with me.
The clear benefit of the NATO is the way the band slips over one pin, goes behind the back of the watch and over the second pin. If one pin is dislodged the watch remains attached to your wrist.

My wrist changes diameter a lot from the office temps to the outside temps. With the NATO, I find it easier to get a better fit for various conditions.

Cheap, simple, easy adjustability and looks good on any sport watch - Go NATO.

I’ve got the gray/black striped “James Bond” one on that website, on my Nixon, and I dig it.
Might get a bright orange one for the summer.
Cheap and easy way to change things up- kinda like bar tape.

Not quite sure why I hadn't thought of that. Good call...

ATTGO - the red strap makes the Sachs North Pointer.

Nice piece sjauch! I'm looking for a MKII milsub with screw pins and date. NATO straps rule imho.

Hmmm. I've been wearing an Maratac Elite Series Composite Strap for a couple days. This replaced the Maratac NATO strap and me happy now. Ignore the goofy description. Hampster, you likey.

Another vote for Maratac from Welcome to the premier site for military watch enthusiasts.

I have the bond on an old swiss army:

    And a Zulu on a Seiko diver I wear when I hike/ride.

They really change the look and feel of the watch. Plus they are cheap, so you can switch back if you get bored.

Here's a cruddy picture of one of my Seiko 7002s. I think it's about time to ping Maratac for a new strap.
