Great you can get out. That boat looks rad, rad, rad all day long.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder injury, but it will buy you time to attach riggers to that thing, and also purchase a proper set of Concept 2 oars. Good luck with the surgery if it occurs.
I took several hard falls on ice a winter or so ago, and was certain I would need surgery. Certain. Couldn't put my hand behind my back, sleep on my stomach, in pain all the time. I went to a local acupuncturist, and the pain was gone after the first visit. Next day I could raise my arms and touch my fingers over my head. It took awhile to heal, but I've avoided surgery.
Get that second opinion, is my opinion.
I’ve got a two word fix for a bum shoulder with a new boat...trolling motor!

Luxury is a neccessity after the first time.
My wife and I spent the morning at Hornbeck trying out boats. We both really liked the New Tricks 12. Hers was a low profile and mine a mid profile. Lucky for the bank account the van is currently full of bicycles and kayaks on the roof. Since paddling season is about over for us we are planning on coming back next spring to buy the boats. Peter and his wife Ann were both there, and were a pleasure to talk with. Anybody need some 14 ft. Necky kayaks?

Picked up our Hornbeck Newtricks 12 boats this week and couldn't be happier. Peter Hornbeck and crew are a pleasure to deal with. He offered us a room for the night above his shop but we decided to head in the direction of home instead. Weather in the Adirondacks is still a little cool for paddling. We were surprised to see snow still on the ground. We brought them home to central Pa and put them in the water at a local state park. It was a little breezy for paddling today but the boats handled it well.
