    Default football playoffs

    Getting down to it.
Not sure who watched it but New England destroyed the Chargers Sunday.
Destroyed is too gentle a word.
Game was over halfway through period 2.
Hate to talk about Brady all the time but he was untouchable.
    Onward they go.
Supposed to be very cold in Kansas City.
Won't bother either team I thk.

I saw the game and agree, they were dominant. As was Brady.

But the Mahomes, Goff and even Mayfield types sure are fun to watch. These youngsters are exciting in a different way.

When Brady is running a pass play, sometimes he's looking, he's looking, the pocket is collapsing, he's looking, time's up, no one's open, he throws it out of bounds.

When Mahomes is running a pass play, sometimes he's looking, he's looking, the pocket is collapsing, he's scrambling, no one's open so he just runs it for 10-15 yards.

But hopefully he doesn't do that too much because a quarterback that does it too much eventually gets injured.

    Good teams are left.

Saints did a good job on the Eagles though the score doesn't reflect that. Hard on your offense if they are only on the field for 2 minutes or less at a time. Hard to get warmed up, get routes in sync, adjust to coverage, etc. Hard on your defense too, but the Eagles defense did a good job holding the Saints to 20 points. Saints' Thomas had 171 yards receiving by himself. Should have been 40 points. Eagles offense was finally getting their mojo on the last drive and bang, interception, game over.

Below zero game time at night.
sort out the men from the boys I guess.

snow would always add a nice touch to these games...

See if NE can rattle Mahomes.
They had Rivers in a tizzy the whole game.
Never had a good series really until the game was well over and they gave him some easy yards.

Watched it Steve. In a word: Dominance or GOAT.

For the most part I only watch playoffs and Superbowl. This will be a good one.

Superbowls should be played outside, Lambeau Field would be excellent in February.

    for the spectators, right?
who would want to sit in Lambeau Field for a game in February?
for that matter watching the game in Foxboro the other day...
was around 15 degrees mid day and you couldn't pay me to sit outside for the game.
Kansas City at night for 4 hours below zero?
you have to be an off the chart nut to sit through that.

I am a lifelong Packer fan and my family has season tickets. I've been to many games.

It is a cool experience in a vintage way and it's all I know. But it's not what modern spectators want. They only think they do. You sit on aluminum benches crushed in next to your neighbor. If any other team had a stadium like Lambeau Field it would not go over well.

Anyway, there is no possible way for Green Bay and the surrounding area to host a Super Bowl. There's not enough hotel space between Milwaukee and Green Bay nor is there any of the infrastructure to support an event of this magnitude.

Lambeau Field is a total anachronism and literally sits in the middle of a blue collar neighborhood.

As much as I'd like the Green Bay Packers to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium, with me in attendance, it's never going to happen.

Green Bay is so much smaller than every other NFL city it's hard to fathom, and it's not really close. They will never host a Super Bowl because logistically it is just not possible.

    Super Bowl location needs:

    Warm temps
    Top quality golf courses
A+ hotels, preferably at the golf courses
A+ restaurants or mediocre restaurants w/expensive alcohol and cigars
    Private banking
Airport with plenty of space for private planes
    A+ hookers
Compliant police force familiar with managing rich people

Nice if they have a stadium near by but that only gets used for a few hours on the last day of the week so it isn't a top priority.

New Orleans and Las Vegas are top choices.

New Orleans checks all the boxes, but it is smelly and humid.

Las Vegas just needs to finish their domed stadium. Once that's done, no reason to go elsewhere.

This sounds like daily living in Miami, except temperatures are more like "Devil's Crotch" for 10 months of the year instead of just "warm".

When I was a fan and reporter on college football, I sat entire games through rain so heavy it blocked visibility at 20 yards, sideways sleet punctuated by moments of real snow, and cold so intense people were stomping in the fully enclosed press box.

I'm not saying it's smart, but it's also not that hard to talk yourself into it.

Miami it is! But get a nice domed stadium with multiple tiers of luxury boxes looming over the field level seats. Hint: the Florida Marlins aren't really using theirs.

Technically the Marlins are using theirs. It's just the spectators that aren't using it.

Drove past it two weekends ago. It's right across I-15 from the Strip. It would be the ultimate destination for those wealthy and motivated enough to make the trip.

Man, I will just say they know how to finish big games.
you have to give them that.

KC played a strong 2nd half but not enough.
