Default Almost Ski Season, new salomonTV Drop.

Since I think Japan is the best place in the world to ski, I'll post this video here. Mike Douglas and the team at Salomon really out did themselves on this short. The world as a 47 yr old child. Rawesome

After seeing Xjoex snow shots in Colorado, kidda experiencing full ski fever right now.

(Look makes ski bindings and bike pedals, so all things skiing are bike related)

We're getting excited here too. This will be the year to learn ski touring for us. Our new property backs up against some very good stuff, and the locals we have met are all ready to show us the goods.

Currently in the hunt for a wide, fish scaled touring ski. Voile Vector BC at the top of the list, G3 has a XCD ski that looks good too. I didnt even know they existed until it was recommended for our backyard by a few of the locals. Can't get over the cost of these touring bindings though, wow.

Man, i'd love to go to Japan, pretty cool video!

I have been toying about the idea of converting my Katana V-Werks to touring bindings. I have very light Trab now as touring and they are great going up but the Katana rule going down (I have fixed bindings on them now).

I have to laugh at the D-spin. I last rode the pipe when I was forty. Even though I am tempted to jump in when I see a nice one, I remind myself- everyone wants to see an old man eat shit and go splat. The desire soon passes as I do not want to be that guy.

Pretty pumped for the upcoming season. It better be a good one (east coast).

With our new house having quite a bit of land, looks like I will be nordic skiing more than ever.

Also looking forward to doing some touring as well. Living closer to a defunct ski area should be fun. Only reason to skin uphill is to have a blast going back down.

Stoked for ski season, I was up at the ski club last weekend with some other members installing a giant french drain so the basement doesnt flood in the spring. I don't want to be greedy after last winter, but hopefully we get at least half as much snow in the Sierras as last year.

    thanks for the link!

as a kid I wanted summer vacation to move to winter so I could ski all the time. My daughters aren't winter freaks like me but they're getting more interested ...

Ouch, my knees hurt looking at that last one.

This one here does it all for me, another beautiful video from Sherpas cinema.

Doesn't hurt that it's filmed in my new home town and that it's an homage to what was and remains my favourite ski segment of all time - JP Auclair in All.I.Can. If you haven't seen that one yet, you really should.
