you know there is only one good way... Chicago blues!!
Well, that wouldn't be bad at all! ;)
No, it's much more "simple", the CCC trips have 2-3 spare bikes in case someone has any trouble and need a replacement ride or they simply fancy riding one of those handmade steel bikes at some stage and have a feeling on how they work.
Last years spare bikes were some carbon pinarellos, but for this year they decided to go with something a bit more "special", apart from the two Amaro ones there's also a nice Ricky Feather. I can't thank enough Phil for such a great showroom to display the bikes in their element.
Now let's hope people won't start breaking their bikes during the trip just to have the chance to use the spare ones ;)
Since then, he has always asked me about doing a CCC around Spain and finally decided to ask me to prepare a route for it. He liked what I made for him and this way the new CCC around north of Spain will be real for 2015, and one thing takes to another, so as he liked my bikes and thought they would be best choice for the Spanish challenge, it all ended up with an incredible chance to have two spare bikes on the CCC rides.
I can think of too many better builders than me in Europe, but I guess life is a big coincidence, and this is another sample on how framebuilding might not be just about building frames :o
No I will have to build a camera-bike for you ;)
