Worlds TTT

Ok so Omega won. Cool. Here is a question or two, and forgive me if this is covered.

If a GT next year has a TTT, and it is a 9 man, and 4 of the Omega team were on the TTT squad will they wear the jersey? If someone gets trasfered off season from those 6 to, say, RS, can he wear the TTT Raindow Jersey?

I still think this is better in the national format for some of these reasons, but this all works.

They don't get a jersey, but I think some sort of a flash. I'm not sure what happens if one of they guys leaves.

The way Sean Kelly and David Harmon were talking about it,
the TTT is won by the "team", and the whole Omega team next
year will have some insignia of a world champ logo on the jersey.
(on both their road and TT kit)

The individual riders on the teams who podiumed in the TTT
get a medal of their own. (the 6 winners get a gold medal, the 2nd place silver,
and 3rd place bronze.)

So basically, there is no individual jersey for this competition.
They didn't know what happens if the team sponsor doesn't continue
into the next season, I suppose it's the team management that
holds a claim on the prize, since the Director Sportif also appeared
on the podium with the winning riders.

This pretty much sums up what I've read. INRNG had a piece about this the other day (inrng : worlds team time trial explained) though I don't think he addressed what happens if the sponsor changes.

To address the question 'why isn't the TTT made up of national teams'? (instead of trade teams)
I suppose the best answer is that it's darn near impossible for a team of riders to train together
as a squad for a time trial when they don't ride on the same pro team. So pro teams it is.

If it is a team/squad prize, that's pretty cool. Omega put together and managed the win, so no matter who is racing for them in a TTT next year they get a bit of TTT bling. I can accept that.

It would be neat, wether they can train together or not, to have nat'l teams. These guys are pros, it adds to the 'x' factor.

it's hard enough to be racing an incredibly demanding event as the TTT at the end of the season, let alone trying to wrangle up riders living on different continents to try to train together.
it has nothing about HTFU you are a PRO. x factor or anything.
let's say they went the national team route..."you" would be complaining that it sucked and they looked sloppy and your club team could've done a better job.
this is the WC's! We deserve to have the best product on course, and that is the trade team model.
go back and watch BMC's trip up the Cauberg. FUCKING balls out and dropping a completely WASTED Phinney. That kid left it ALL out on the road taking monster pulls.
this was a good race by the teams that wanted it.
