    A stash of new caps:

...and a bargain unused pair of second hand 100% S2s:

The glasses fit really well and really suit my face. If they feel good on the bike they might finally encourage me away from Oakley - especially now that they do the S2 in a photochromic version.

I guess I don't have to post mine -- since they are identical to nick's and on the exact same wheels:) But is sure nice to open the box with few ready to stretch/age in the basement:)

Can I ask why that is? I have an older frame I was thinking of modernizing. What is the brake/fork risk? Thank you.

It is not that it is old.

It is about being old, made of alu tube bonded to an alu crown with glue, and it was already quite noodly at the time which means : fatigue.

Thank you. My bike is steel with steel fork (apple of my eye 1985 Gitane). Thinking about Silver Centaur 11 as an upgrade from the already not period correct 1990's 105 it has.

A day almost as good in delivery joy as the day my daughter was born.

First, this came. It was necessitated because I needed just one more and I found out (when trying to special order because everyone was out of it) that it is discontinued and from experience that meant that the replacement would not make me happy. So, I supported someone's LBS who is in Britain as opposed to my LBS and even got them for 160 bucks less than they would have been in the US....

And then a really big box came from the orange and blue guy which came from Texas and it contained this...

So, everything else in life is on hold while I put on some pedals, the front wheel, and the bar. Even baking the shoes will have to wait.

    As will making dinner.

Lake shoes are just amazing. I appreciate mine anew every time I ride.

Classic VSalon! Man gets a new pair of shoes and a new bike, and he gets complimented on the shoes!

One thing - I am guessing no one here criticizes their significants for buying "too many" shoes. No such thing I say, especially when it comes to cycling shoes.

BTW Jon, nice bike. It will look good with those shoes.

I didn’t know these existed till you posted and now i wish i had got around to ordering one.

I ended up bodging up a tow strap out of rubber bungie straps to get my daughter up Mt Buffalo last week.

    Grateful for the concept!

My significant criticizes me for buying too many shoes. Or rather than criticizing she doesn't see the point to have dedicated cycling shoes vs using street ones and can't figure out the difference between my road bike and moutain bike apart from their respective color.

We would be evenly matched if not for the cycling shoes.

We are waiting for the bike to be fully build to compliment him. Right now they are just random bubble wrapped tubes :)
