Had one of these arrive today:

    Assos ERLKOENIG Short Sleeve Jersey

A bit more 'pavement pizza' than I usually like, but I took a gamble as my last Assos jersey died but the bibs are still going strong; and I don't like wearing non-matching brands...

If you're not sure about the design, I understand - but I *promise* it looks much better on in real life!

My AUD$50 Specialized does the job perfectly well; and probably will do for years to come - especially if the 10+ year-old Bontrager equivalent that I only just retired is anything to go by (and I would have repaired that if it weren't for the failing rusted base).

Anyhoo... Too much pump talk. Who else has received what else from their friendly postie??
Get yourself a nice pancake compressor and a presta inflater head and you will never look at another floor pump again. I don't know what it's like Down Under but my setup cost me about $180.

These are my new jam where I can fit them - 3rd set just arrived. Bonus - the big pathway makes mounting a breeze with my compressor's air chuck. I don't even pull the valve stem. Bang pop done.

That’s just priorities. I own a Silva track pump, but i’d never consider spending Assos money on a jersey! “My $20 Netti jersey does the job perfectly well...”

New Tifosi Swick sunglasses from their "lifestyle" line. Clear frames with yellow smoke lenses.
One one of my fellow Thursday Night World Championship riders was wearing a set and they caught my eye.
Checked them out, tried them on, liked 'em.
Then he told me the price. $25
    Sold!

I think I used to wear Tifosi glasses back in my MTB days. Hard to beat value like that; and they look pretty respectable too.

I picked up a pair of Goodr sunglasses this week at my local running shop for $25. Having worn them running and riding now, I can say they seem like a pretty great value. Long live good, cheapish sunglasses.

I've bought 3-4 "weird color combo" Oakley Frogskins over the years and am always happy with them in the discounted $50 range.
I recently got a new pair after losing some, and the new "Prism" lens is really nice.

Spotted the Goodr glasses via Insta recently - good to hear positive feedback.

No photo, since it would be rubbish anyway...but a Capo Padrone Windvest.

RRPs. Cripes...I think cycling may have moved on from being the new golf to being the new sailing.

I mean it’s a substantial windvest, but the RRP is US$250! It almost makes the US$300 Wind Jacket seem a bargain. I could never justify RRP. Who sets these prices?

    iPhone bokeh is so weird...

Really pleased with this so far - Well thought out, very secure. The Voile strap and the way it tucks in really seals the deal.

I've got about 10,000km on mine and it's still looking like brand new after a thorough beating. You'll love that thing. Watch out for a nose-crack on that Brooks though, I've now warrantied 3 of those saddles..

Not remotely bike related, but I got a drag for smoothing out my driveway: Joe on Instagram: “Dragging the drive.” now I need a roller to finish the job.

I found that recently with a photo - spokes on a wheel really confuse the blending of the 2 images.

Just got a second hand leather Brooks - photo in a bit.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

    More Canadian goodness.

Actually not the postman because when I got the email that they were going out by FedEx, I emailed hey I am going to be in your neighborhood tomorrow so I'll swing by and pick them up.

New Wheels. Fantastic quality. Beautiful. And the rims were made by a guy who I met. I love knowing the person that made the rim....so much better than getting a tag that says "inspected by no. 12"...or some rim made by a factory somewhere and the same rim is sold under different brand names for different prices.

More on these rims when I find the old thread....

The "state of the art" in the world of 26", rim brake, tubeless rims comes cheap these days.

Holy smokes are they light. Came with all the tools and even the manual all in the original plastic bag.
