I haven't been buying much stuff of late as I'm trying to really downsize my bike and bike stuff hoard but this new compressor will be useful for more than just the bike. It would be easy to live without one but if I'm going to be using tubeless tires it's extremely useful to have something to pop the tires right up onto the inner shelf of the rim. So yesterday I whipped on over to the big orange box store and walked out with this portable air compressor and premium hose. Might try to get a pro-grade brass chuck for the end for tire inflation. It already came in handy as I had a deflated tubeless tire on my hands yesterday and this got me back in business in a few seconds.

Saab, if you want to save your hearing you might look at a small compressor from California Air Tools. Huge difference compared to most compressors, but I'll admit that I haven't heard that Senco. I bought the California Air Tools CAT-4610AC. Note that it's a 1 HP / 4.6-gallon with a 60 dB sound level and the form factor is still very small. It's also available at the big orange box but I bought mine through CAT's eBay store.

The Senco was actually marketed as being quiet and it's quite reasonable. It may get some indoor use in my future life and honestly, it's less noisy than a vacuum cleaner. So I'm good with it I think.

What's that old saw? "It ain't real till it's got wheels"?

Whatever the case, the postlady didn't bring the frame today, though she did bring the wheels. But this post isn't about the wheels, even if that's the criterion that qualified me for this thread today.

+1. And a bit more info if possible - our Nespresso just kicked the bucket and I don’t want to get another capsule machine.

I don’t trust myself to regulate my intake if I had one of those!

Is that your bicycle themed artwork? Because I like it.

For coffee, i recommend a Lelit Combi. Very good coffee on a budget. Lasts a decade

It could be; and should be - but both the Lyrebird and the Klein have been vetoed as potentials... which, given how nice both of those are, basically means she was BS'ing me when she said she liked the idea of 'bike art'.

Thanks, looks like a great option. Unfortunately (fortunately?), our Nespresso came back to life yesterday, so a new coffee machine is on hold for now - pending me finding my hammer to help the Nespresso expire, perhaps. Hmmm...

    Tsss...

This is the only thing you need and it lasts forever. Why would you want to make it more complicated ?

Weened myself off the nespresso (12+yrs) with the moccamaster , best drip coffee I have ever had, and it looks good on the counter. It will brew a full pot in like 6-8 minutes. Heating element is copper.

I'm more of a tea guy myself. The thing is all italians I know of use that good old bialetti maker and I can safely say they are experts on good coffee.
