pretty excited to get this in the mail today. i've heard good things about cambium, and the new C15 swallow like saddle is pretty available now. good looking saddle IMO.

I decided to NOT use my custom bikes for trainers and racing this season, so I bought THIS:

Haven't set it up yet, so no commentary on stems, bars, and saddle. :P

Is this, on its own, going to make me a better bike handler or faster 'cross racer? Doubtful.
Is this, on its own, going to make my bike look more badass? Most definitely.

The Cannondale cranks look so damn nice. My BB shells always prevent me from giving these a go. Looks awesome.

Thx for the comments on the new frame! Will post some finish build shots when done.

I know. I always seem to think to myself "my next bike is going to have a 68mm BSA shell because it just works." And then I look at my Hollowgrams and that all goes to hell.

FWIW, I also have a matching set in silver on my CAAD10 and it's been (mostly) squeak and creak free.

been using the raceface bsa30 bb with no complaints. makes my tune cranks with 30mm spindle work with my vintage bontrager cx. you will need a special tool to install.

Sorry for the drift... So that Race Face BSA30 bottom bracket allows the use of any BB30 crank in a BSA shell?

@AngryScientist. Let us know what you think of the saddle! That is the first brooks saddle that as aesthetically appealed to me so I am curious how you like it.

I liked the Roubaix's so much this year that I went back for seconds...one is now doing time on a stretching rim and one is in the hopper.

I always thought you needed this to run BB30 Hollowgram cranks on standard threaded shell? Pricey as hell!

You sure that link is correct? I don't see any threaded fittings there.

not totally correct. a "BB30 spindle" is too short. a BB386 spindle would be needed. Or a crank with a 30mm spindle designed to be used in a 68mm shell with external cups (ie Zipp Vuma Quad, FSA BB386, these new Race Face cranks). I held onto SI cranks for a while hoping Cannondale would produce a longer spindle.

CX1 and Red22 groups. It's going to be a busy winter in the basement shop.
