Got my new Di2 "holder" yesterday. Put it to work this morning and we'll see how it turns out in 24 hours.

Sweet! Wanted something different from the orange/green/red/black combo, so Barney-mobile it is.

These names for sandlot football/soccer remind me of kids in Kenya who would kick anything that was even close to round and yell Arsenal! Chelsea! as if that was a command or directive or something. I think it was both fandom but also the local equivalent of Woohoo! just an exclamation of happiness to be playing. Those kids have tough hardworking lives.

A photographer I met said he always tried to carry several flattened soccer balls & a pump in his luggage. I guess without air they are pretty light these days, not like the old leather balls. In different situations, they would come in handy. Everyone is tense until the soccer ball comes out and then its game on with kids, border guards, police men, etc.

Some goodies to make my faux-retro project a little more retro and even more visually proper.

Yeah, filling in the gaps on the lever bodies with foam was a tad over the top, but least I resisted the urge to get my drillium on.

I got a Bar Fly 1.1 the other day off of Amazon. It features 1/8th of a turn technology! Not having to turn my Garmin a full 1/4 turn has been really eye opening to say the least. What a game changer!

No pics yet, but I got me a BMC Team Machine ALR01 and a pair of white Fizik R1B Uomos

Gotta go put cleats on the shoes.
X-ferred some wheels from another bike and it had a 10sp cassette. My 9k stuff wasn't going to play nice, so I haven't adjusted the derailleurs yet.

Pelada: any soccer game on non official green. Although we do have an official pelada now which is called "society". soçaite in portuguese. All the pro players grew up on pelada in Brazil. Everybody grows up on peladas here. It's culturally more important than school.

Thanks, google/bing results are plain awful on the US sites. Basically any foreign language results without recent US pop culture prominence scrape the lowest common denominator for $$$$. Endless spammy paid results or the equally well represented aformentioned below the belt stuff(Mostly SFW soccer gif).

Peladas have me looking forward to traveling to Brazil again. My brother in law has managed to find 5 or 6 nights of possible games for us. It's a shame the futsal court is dying in favor of society fields - at least in the NE.

Saw these recommended on another thread.

Campy tire levers for carbon rims. I can see carbon rims in my future and I needed some tire levers anyway. The last of my 15 year old levers broke a couple of weeks ago forcing me to use some Pedros...love the company, not a fan of their levers (too thick).

These feel damn sturdy - they make a high pitch 'clink' when you tap two together, not a dead sound like most...that must mean something good right?
And they are nice and thin.

Not exactly today, but first ride with new kicks (bought lightly used for a fraction of retail price).
