Vonruden - saw Old Barney from the opposite side of the inlet on a drizzly LBI loop this morning. Tomorrow looks better - Great Bay and Little Egg Harbor Clam House ride on the agenda.

Sounds like a great time / ride. Nothing like a beer and some good clams after a ride. :)

Last day in Seattle with my family and Mrs. RW and I took a short ride to the Virginia V (near MOHAI for the locals) on Lake Union to join in on the monthly Sea Chantey. Our daughter is a regular and she's been talking it up, so when in Rome...I can honestly say we had an absolute blast and I've been singing like a sailor all day.

6.5ish hike in the woods. 1319 feet of climbing. Pretty quiet on the way up. About a third of the way up I passed a woman heading down at a decent pace. At two thirds of the way up she passed me again this time going back up. Time 2 & 3 of a planned 6 she says... Turns out she is training to do an adventure race in France this fall...

Hoping for some sort of personal redemption.

32 miles, first ride in 3 weeks. Beautiful day, rode a stretch of dirt I'd been meaning to check out for a while, and checked on the state of a friend's garden while they're on vacation.

Full day of action. As an aside, are the ride reports at an all time low in terms of participants?

25 miles to end the week at 80. Very happy because this is the most I have been able to get done in one week for the past 12 months.

Same old route so no pictures except for the lunch stop afterward.

Z, you should do the Green River Ride at D2. Get your motivation up for Fall.

Registration closes in ~ 13 hours...

Got out after the morning rain and done before the afternoon showers. We've had over 10" of rain this month, more than double the average. My route was based on where the darkest clouds were not so it looks weird on Strava. I ended up with 55 miles with goodish average speed. Four rides this week, 200 miles, the shortest being 45 on Friday. Never thought I'd get that in August.
    I heart burnt bikes.

Nice solo ride on the Zanc today. Also got in a few really fun miles on some fire roads...she's figured out how to control her speed, so there was no eating dirt on the hilly parts this time.

Rode this AM. No one else showed up for the ride. Nice ride, though. Last third in the rain.

At this temp, I like the rain though.

Only trouble is that my current fork is not painted yet. So, I had to sand off the rust tonight.
