Default Velocipede Salon Member Ride Reports May 6 to May 12

Easy spinning all week before climbing some mountains in California.

It was a top down kind of day in NYC.

    Up into the Bronx...

And into Westchester on the South County Trail where the lack of traffic provided no thoughts of photos.

Then back into Manhattan and down the East Side through a trail I have never seen before along the Harlem River, specifically a part known as Swindler's Cover...

A great ride bookended by lazy spinning through the buses, Ubers, Lyfts, Vias, and regular folks driving crazy like. A good time was had by all.

Looks like the same guy who parks outside the cafe on Madison & 91st St on sunny weekend mornings.

Greenwich, CT - I took a picture of this professional looking cyclist today on my ride. I tried to catch up to him but couldn't.

Finally took advantage of working from home. Took out a joostx classic for a spin and apparently Triple E is still a thing in these parts.

This is a long post because I took the long way home last night. Commuting by bike is so much better than commuting by car. At least when the weather is nice, and it's been a while since the weather's been nice.

Not shown are the two breweries, strip bar, abandoned mills, countless body shops, and three dumps (excuse me, transfer stations) that I pass.

    Bird watching.

    Little birds too.

Water, water everywhere: six reservoirs, a lake, and the Connecticut River (twice).

    Weapons-grade pollen generators.

Alex, I'd like "Things That Loosen My Headset" for $600, please.

DAILY DOUBLE! And the answer is… "Really Big Cobbles"

Some of this goes to my house. Also, some electricity I helped make was arriving here, looking for a place to go. #solarpower

    Cheers and ride on, TH

A spin along the Clackamas and on up to Ripplebrook with pals. Pushed by tailwinds up the grade, pedaling on the descent thanks to the later in the day winds. It was a good day.

I tell my wife, "out of those kinds of people she had a face with a view". I do not think there is a. better. way. to describe my love for her.
