That tells you how long the chain is.

There are multiple sources and this stuff ends up as a network. It's not that much material. I would not be surprised if Ferrari was "off the grid" and had a different source. It's not hard to make this stuff with modern method and the money was good. I doubt LA was the only guy spending big cash on his dope doctor.

Again, look at the criminal networks for things like oxy. Criminals line up multiple docs who write dozens of scripts. That's only an analogy but the idea holds.

I guess the take home is that folks that want to cheat get creative and money makes things happen. Obviously.

As far as drugs EPO is a great drug. It's job is to boost redcell production. For cancer patients it has extended life for thousands of patients. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how it could be transferred to athletics by increasing red cell production at all. EPO is not a very controlled medication.
Other than being expensive it is not something the police or DEA is very concerned about. You don't see EPO patients robbing banks, holding up the corner market, or killing people on the highways. Professional cyclists or hell all the racing cyclists in America make up about 0.0001% of the population. If they all were doped to the gills on the stuff the number is still not even a bump on the drug problem in the USA today. Any licensed physician can get as much of the stuff as they want and there would be no question from the DEA. I have given a few hundred shots of it in home health settings and could have stocked a whole team on the number of multidose viles I have thrown away over the last 10 years or so. There are a lot of cancer patients to go around, and cyclists are taking pretty much micro doses compared to the cancer people.
The drug companies do keep tract of what leaves the factory, but there is no chain of command after it hits a more local leval on EPO.

Anyone else notice how quickly ESPN.com seems to be shuffling the Usada case. Sandusky coverage practically rots on the site yet they seem to swoop away any tarnished Lance stories. It's sad how prevalent cycling was during Lance's "reign" yet now cycling isn't even listed under "Other Sports"

Lance made a donation to ESPN a while back.

    Or was that a commercial?

Mom: He was very sickly until he started riding around on that bicycle.

Dad: Yeah... well... now his body's fine, but his mind is gone.

Out of interest I went looking at ESPN. The story is hidden under "Olympic Sports", and the feature article is written by some Lance apologist who deploys the cancer shield from word one. Laughable.

Touche on that and that's kind of what I was getting at when I mentioned the ego and yeah, Livestrong was built on superego, but it's gone on to become more than that to many people. And it sucks that the very thing that created it is going to bring it down.

Regarding ESPN, Joe America doesn't give a shit about this. He wants to know about football and baseball right now. They don't cater to our kind. The actual news outlets are giving this some coverage, though.

Yes, and if they give to an organisation which actually funds medical research (which Livestrong does not) it is likely that their dollars will do more for people with cancer.

I can only imagine the news story that comes if and when it's shown that his org was
run with the same double standards as his entire career as a professional cyclist atmo.
Lance never had the franchise on fund raising or inspiration. These can be found in so
many places. The deception is another story. He is Varsity Team material atmo.

Not sure if this one has been posted yet. Sports Illustrated, so fairly mainstream America. This guy gets it.

What was up with the redacted sections of the affidavits? Can these guys not name names if those folks didn't come forward too? CVV sort of implicated Gorski as having known what was going on but they can't mention Livingston, McCrae or Jemison or other riders who might have known something?

Hein Verbruggen is a lying sack of sh!t.

He never, never, never said that Armstrong never, never, never doped -- except when he surely, surely, surely did say it.

Mom: He was very sickly until he started riding around on that bicycle.

Dad: Yeah... well... now his body's fine, but his mind is gone.

I can't read that line without thinking of this:

    Nooit nooit nooit.
