Wow, never heard of him, but he is a massive dude. According to Wikipedia, he's 6'8", 136kg (~300lbs), and by the look of it is mostly muscle - bet he can put out some watts . . ..

and will go down like a rocket, but he's probably about as good a climber as me...
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

I want to know what handlebars he’s using. Seems traditional round bend and has aero top.

Also, no disc brakes, even on a hilly event.

Lastly, with an ISP, that’s gotta be a custom bike?

He is definitely a beast, 10 times world champ and 2 golds medals at the olympics. I'd like to know if it is a reinforced custom bike. I guess it is.

Based on the little French flag on the right hand side of the bar, those are likely TIME's carbon bar. Wonder if he finds them 'stiff enough'

I heard that the old time handlebar was quite stiff, so I didnt try to get a matching one for my beautiful riding VXR.

    Good catch.

That bike is probably custom built for him, extra reinforcements at stress points.

I'd like to know more about the wheelbuild. 32 spokes - the rims say Asterion, but the rim doesn't look like anything on their website. I suspect that guy can pull the eyelets right out of the rim in short order.

The wheels appear to be custom models based on the Asterion 28. More spokes (32 front and rear) and crossed rather than radially laced in the front. The rims appear to be Mavic Open Pro USTs. For someone that big and strong, wheels are a consumable...
