no need for head games now, LA has big problems. His last best chance was the cobbles, and that didn't pan out.

Based upon the account I read, I figure one of these fellows demonstrated "Leadership".

Classic conceptual stuff... Exemplary character. Confident. Tolerant of ambiguity. Do the right thing. Cool head. Class.

The other fellow hid in the back of the bus.

I'm not saying Lance avoided Alberto on purpose, because I'm sure there is much to do prior to a stage... I would be disappointed if Lance didn't do a proper thank you when he has time today...

That was a class act by Alberto...

I really hope once this season is over and Lance finally retires from racing, he can show that he really isn't that bitter and act as the grand Patron that he could be for the sport... I've always been a big Lance supporter, I just hope I haven't been just blowing smoke... Competition does lots of strange things to people, I'm pretty sure Merckx wasn't called the Cannibal because he was nice and jovial while racing...

the main reason people have a problem with "His Ballness" is not for his attitude on the bike, it's the arrogant defiance OFF the bike that rubs the non yellow kool-aid drinkers the wrong way.

there are plenty of guys who are total pricks on the bike(myself included) but off the bike are a blast to share the "Ultra Life" with. Racing is racing, it's nothing personal. Building a foundation based on lies, that has taken millions of $$$ from unsuspecting and naive people is a completely different ball game. (pun intended)

I'm not going to get into a pissing match here, but that's a pretty bold statement... I certainly don't know all the ins an outs of the Livestrong Foundation, but it looks pretty legit to my novice eyes and I'm pretty sure is looked regularly for wrongdoings (much like any other major foundation)...

Again, I appluad AC for his gesture...

It was a duty to go in person to the 'Shack team bus? Somehow I don't think so.

But the watch delivery wasn't the point of my post. It was the photo and the LA reaction to questions about talking with Alberto during the race.

no, but to deliver gifts at some point. i aint defending/attacking any party here. lets remember we're working off mini bits of media packaging in regards to people we know nothing about, hardly enough to draw an educated guess.

Come on, guys...you are being too hard on him. Do you really expect him to unhook the IV and get up off the bed to accept a watch?....

In that photo, I am not really sure that LA is saying anything. Photos of people talking can often result in really strange facial expressions, but that one has him looking particularly strange. I'm going to miss LA, all these great threads trying to find some reason to dislike him.

As far as LA being in the back of the bus when AC came calling, the law of maximum inconvenience says that LA was taking a dump.

None of this matters. The Tour starts on Saturday. Anything up to now is just journalists all fighting for the smallest crumb that falls off the table. The real action starts Saturday with more fireworks on Sunday.

conjecture is more fun than reality.

That's just fucking stupid. You need to not let your hate get in the way of your thought process.
