    Dodged Hermine

Wore the colors to salute Dan C's win. And because this was the perfect jersey for a 60deg start.

Hat trick weekend plus some. Headed to the community pool this afternoon to close out the season and then some grilling is on the schedule. Stay safe out there.

We managed to stay ahead of the weather this weekend an get a lot of riding in.
A beautiful Labor Day morning here in South Florida.
Did 50 miles with Mr. Stevens.

Went out looking for some trails to explore. We've had so much rain that they are green but overgrown. Trying to ride them means a constant face and arm lashing from plants. Still managed to get almost 50 miles.

Wasn't originally planning on riding today, but the rain held off, so went to Fells again for another MTB ride. Pretty happy with my wife's decision to purchase an SUV for our next car... so much easier to load my 5010 in her car than in mine (a sedan).

Out in the woods for the first time in a while, no sign of that Hermine behind any of these rocks.

Nothing fancy today at all, but I can confirm that on two of the last four days the Topeak RaceRocket HP mini pump did in fact get a tubular and a clincher pumped up to sufficient ridable pressure out in the wild. And it created enough pressure to seat this tire on a Pacenti tubeless ready rim though the tire was already stretched.

No pics beyond this field repair. No flats all year then two in a few days.

The cool air is nice, but daylight waning at 7:15 is depressing.

This guy is grumpy about it too.

Rode 35 meh miles. The humidity has returned, my kit is on a hanger over the bathtub dripping. I've been riding the Pegoretti for the past several days. The Serotta versus the Pegoretti, one bike is squishy with a stiff wheelset, the other has a wide rim with big tire wheelset. As soon as the package arrives from PBK with a cassette, I've got a "new" wheelset with Excellence rims and some Pro4's. That should make the Serotta completely squishy.

Hit the trails with some friends to avoid the winds of Hermine (thankfully they never arrived).

Stayed on the flats on the MTB since I have been suffering from bilateral tennis elbows.

    Pretty great weekend.
Saturday morning had a fast paced 4 hour mountain bike ride with friends followed with a few hours at the beach with my family.
Sunday and Monday were an awesome 140 mile round trip bike camping trip to a favorite spot in the White Mountain National Forest complete with beer and a huge campfire. We had loads of climbing, plenty of gravel roads, some breakfast sandwiches, little roads, big roads and cheese pizza slices.

Our camping spot. It was a little cold last night and this morning for the hammock, but I slept warm in my 20 degree bag

Got out this early morning for a few miles before heading out to a Labor Day party on Tomales Bay.

I was planning on leaving the desert early to head back to the mountains... but why sit in holiday traffic? I had time to get in another ride and miss all the traffic.

We are still in the honeymoon phase but things are working out nicely. This platform is so dang good. Top Fuel 9.8 SL. It is still stink in' hot and humid down here in central Florida. Ready for the air to become less suffocating. But I still had a blast ripping around this whippet. Cheers.

50 mile solo ride yesterday morning. Saw more deer than cars.

Started at sunrise, temps in the mid 60's. It's been 4 or 5 months since I started a ride with temps below 75*F!

Lousy riding partner, didn't do any work at the front.
