Default Salonistas at the Philly Bike Expo Oct 29/30

    Who is going?

Who wants to hit the bars Friday night?

Who wants to hit the bars Saturday night?

Who wants to ride Sunday morning/afternoon?

I live two miles from the venue, and would be happy to coordinate.

There are plenty of Philly area people I've never met but would like to.

i am out for the ride on Sunday unless it early in the morning. If y'all want to start it early on Saturday, 4:00 to 6:30 I will be happy to offer my patio as a pre-game meeting point. I have to go to a halloween party later on.

I live like 4 blocks for the expo and right next to city hall / love park. So, I am centrally located, have a view of city hall, and more importantly I 6 6packs of corona and multiple becks tall boys that were left over from a company event chilling in the refrig. I would be happy to host some Salonistas and shoot the shit about the expo.

I need to make a run to Kutztown on Saturday evening for a dinner with some family members, so beers on the patio are probably out. That sounds terrific though.

My plan is to hit the expo during the day, do my dinner thing, then meet up later on with those who are interested. Ride Sunday early then do Halloween things later in the day.

I think a nice 3-4 hour ride from the museum would be cool. There are many options. If people want a flatter ride, we can head out to the Grate. If a few hills are the desire, we can head out towards Valley Forge. Being from Philly, I am sure you know the routes, so we can leave that up to you. I would probably prefer less hills so we can talk a little more, and so my fat ass can hang on.

My only request is a post ride coffee stop, preferably at La Colombe in Manyunk. I love that place, and never get over there anymore.

Rapha will be hosting a Gentlemans ride scheduled for Sunday morning that will be meeting at 7:30 am and leaving at 8:00am. 35 mile out and back ride through Philly.

I am in for an easy Sunday Morning ride beginning at the Art Museum if we finish around 11:30 or noon at the latest. We're are going out on Saturday night and well I just dont recover like I use to.

Want to meet on the front steps?

Regarding beer, again I will extend to offer of meeting on my patio (great lounge furniture and about the best view in Philly) for post ride refreshments and light fare. I live straight down Ben Franklin Parkway from the Art Musuem at 16th St. My wife is on my case to get rid of all the beer in our home which is was left over from a company party. Please help (see pictures below). Proper snacks, water and coffee will provided too. Let me know.

The beer is saying "help me get to the Schuylkill"

That is a ride that the turnaround point is literally a grate in the middle of the road. I thought it was a more popular route than it is, I guess. Here is a link to the route:

By "Grate" I thought you might be referring to Graterford, which would hardly be a flatter ride. But the route you mapped out isn't exactly flat either. The only really flat ride in the area is the Schuylkill River Trail.

It definitely isn't pancake flat, but I wouldn't consider it a climbing ride. I don't think it is all that bad. I guess it is a matter of perspective.

I don't care what the ride is, as long as it suits the majority, I am in.

Forecast is for 6-10 inches of wet snow in 19147 for Saturday night. May have to take a rain check on that ride.
