    Default Peter Waite

Be in awe. Peter was a guest of DBRK's at the Ramble. He was riding some very classy steel and I thought looked like a former rock star ;) hehe. Fun guy and an amazing artist. VSalon-worthy? ABSOLUTELY :)

*Note the scale of his work. WOW.

Ramblers might remember the remarkable print on the great room wall adjacent to the kitchen. I never tire of it. Photo to follow. Peter is an extraordinary artist--- soul, whimsy, intelligence, vision. He inspired An American in Paris and word has it he can dance like Gene Kelley.

It's nice to see the work of the man who introduced himself as "the other Peter W."

    Yes, dbrk!

IMHO, Peter is one of the most interesting artists around. Most of us have seen his many paintings and drawings over the years, but he has recently exhibited some of his sculptures, such as "Death Ship" at the Wadsworth Atheneum, crafted from "found" (but also very meaningful) objects. He has an amazing sense of irony.

No kidding. During a lull in the riding action. Peter looked at my bike and says "you riding spds?" I say "yup" and without another word exchanged we swapped bikes!!!!! First he tried riding my bike inside the triangle!!! Hilarious. I managed to overcome the 6 inches of toe overlap on his bike and we headed down the road for some sprints. Yeah, he's a funny fella.

*Folks who have never met myself or Peter. I'm 6'8" and Peter is mmmmm maybe 5 foot 2 on a high humidity day ;)

    Default Oh My

I had no idea, incredible works, some are a bit disturbing and hold/demand your attention, but the detail is exquisite. I look forward to our next chance to Ramble. Frank
