    Default open-faced quill stem

I'm looking for an open faced quill stem. Black, with -17 of rise.

Currently, I've got on Origin 8 number that fits the bill
    (Robot Check)

I would like something classier than this though. What should I look for? There was a 3ttt I was reading about, but hard to find and had a history of failure.

I'd like it to not be curved and alien looking (looking at you 3T Mutant and Cinelli Frogs)

    Any other suggestions?

do believe nitto makes one, the UI-12. it is 31.8, 4-bolt, & welded not forged. has a charm all its own but a far different one than most and may not be for you

i have heard no good about the factory five titan's build quality from those who have used it.

his site says he's on hiatus as his shop moves locations. hadn't thought about a custom stem, but that could be an option.

I looked at those, it does check a lot of the boxes, but not a fan of the 4-bolt face plate. also, no black version.

however, that Factory Five does look real interesting. bad quality though?

Ti Cycle Fabrication in Portland if you could go with silver/ti finish. They may do a black steel one, though, too.

Also: Ti Cycles offers Cerakote finish on many of their titanium products, for an upcharge. That would give you a darkish gray- black finish.
