detroit over whoever in 6 to make it 5 cups in 12 years.

after years of being on the outside looking in and then a few more years of lofty but unfulfilled expectations, it's been good to be a wings fan for the past decade.

darren, do you know how come the semi-finals went on so long this year? i work for Versus' parent company and have been tracking the ratings. 24 games this year - 15 games the prior year in the semi-finals round.

Anyone who thinks the Wings aren't going to win the Cup is crazy.

Default 09 not the best for our lightning, but ----

with r tocchet as head coach and m fadden signed - 2010 will be better a better run for the cup.
lightning girls make up for the loss.

i pick the "birds that don't fly," for the 09 cup!

    Default Wings All The Way

Red Wings will win the Cup. No team can hang with 'em. They're a lethal dose of European panache and North American physicality. Their toughest competition was Anaheim and they're history.
Riding with a live hornet in your mouth is not advised.

the wings should win in 6 if it's against Pittsburg, in 4 against Carolina. too bad Boston lost, would have been nice to see an original 6 cup final. and yes i'm a Boston fan and they would have beaten Pittsburg.
I'm betting that I'm just abnormal enough to survive.

Yea, Pens are playing the best in a long time...they will bring more to the table than the last time they saw the wings. It was men against boys at that time...

I still think Carolina has a lot of fight in them. Its all going to come down to tending that goal. Ward has been to the finals and won, Fleury got there and hasnt...

In the other series.... all Chicago needs is a pair of Journeymen D-Men in front of Khabibulin in the lineup and its all them. I like the energy of that young team.

When will Detroit have a player on their roster under 30? I like the age/experience thing, but this is only good for maybe 1 or 2 more years... then what? will they have to look at their minor league system? Rely on drafting well?

The future of hockey, imho, is in Chicago.

I couldn't believe the way that Detroit and Chicago where playing on Sunday. It looked more like the finals then the semi's.

Datsyuk is 30. Zetterberg is 28. Franzen is 29. Hudler is 25. Cleary and Hossa are 30.

There are 16 Red Wings 30 or under. There are 19 Blackhawks. Whoa.

Maybe its because they "seem" older with guys like Chelios and Lidstrom...?

Lest we forget when you are a cellar dwellar like the blackhawks of old, you get more first round draft picks...

Now that the home team is out, I'm with the Red Wings all the way. My brother is a big, big fan, and I'm happy for him.
