That weight limit does not really scare me much, I am sort of curious if it would ride softer or any different than the standard F8. They are not going to find a lot of riders fitting that 59.5 frame that are less than 75k.

I'm rooting for this Lionel! Maybe Jerk would have a salient opinion?

Lionel ...why ? You have this bike and a zetti . If either breaks why not explore something else or find an f8 used .... I'm sure they will come back on the market when everyone else must order the latest and greatest aero disc thing

This is a question that we stopped asking a long time ago. I mean, there's an answer, and it's often illuminating, but as an essential question, "why?" has no home in this thread.

Yeah, mostly because I am curious of F8 vs F8XLight and it is just there starring at me at $2K.

How far over that 75kg limit are you?

I don't think the concern is breakage, but it may become defiant when you caress it with an extra thirty five pounds of love. You will find out during your first alpine descent.

It's a rare person who is 6'5" or so who is down in the 75kg range.

I was about to say the same. Even within the pro ranks.

That's the point I made earlier. There is probably no customer for a 59.5 that is less than 75kg.

It would be a nice carrot to dangle. I'd like to get back close to that mark...

I would be skeletal at that weight. And have even less power than I almost have now. 86-90kg is about the best I can do. After that, I need new suits...that would then take away from bike funds. No go.

I have threads for 77kg, below that would be new territory. And I'm rolling 85-86kg myself right now.

4 lbs off at 6’5”. Now only finding 2k.
Seriously, I would not worry being 30 lbs over. It will ride a little different likely.
    Do it!
I’ll buy it off you for 1 k if it does not work out.

    $1001 bid here for the not-stiff-enough lightly-used F8 X-light .... ;)

There is no way I would even try to get to 75kg. 83kg is the lowest I have been as an adult many many years ago, this was when I was racing and doing EDT and so on. I would be very happy with 86kg. Lately I have been working too much, traveling too much, meeting too many customers and having too many customer dinners. Maybe the goal would be to break that damn F8XLight.

Yep, that's a BMI of 19.5 and BMI overestimates with tall people*.

Harald Norpoth, the "running skeleton" was at 18.5. That's him in the middle.

    * the BMI index of 2 was chosen for arithmetic simplicity. It should be around 2.3.

At work I was once sent to the "BMI problem class" by the insurance company after annual physical..
I fell out the bottom of the BMI scale which triggered that.
When I walked into class I got a lot of ugly looks, and was send packing.
