It looks like she actually brazed up the custom rack and so forth. I'm still laughing.

Heh thank you for linking up to my post, glad you enjoyed the review.

Just to clarify, I did not make any part of the broom. It was "restored" by my friend Jon Gehman - who, by the way, absolutely needs to join this place in my opinion. He is talented and hilarious.

    JP,

    That was a good find.

Sorry you weren't able to join BigBill and I in Seattle. I'm going to be back in your 'hood soon. What's your schedule like??

obviously a fraud. any constructeur built rando broom would have a FRONT rack, and certainly not some shitty aftermarket black anodized rear rack. christ, it's probably a blackburn even... so gauche.

Yeah, keep talking and showing how little you understand about broom making. Do me a favour: Go and spend a couple of years watching the masters work. And no, I don't mean the hobbyists; the Masters. Capital M. Then read the past 12 volumes of Brooming Quarterly. Let's hear what you have to say then.

hey buddy-- i've studied the work of peter sweepeur and rene balai for years. i know what i know, and that thing is a somewhat thoughtful, but ultimately fraudulent attempt at a classic. devil's in the details, my friend.

We keep asking for affordable utility brooms, but when a major manufacturer comes out with one (remember the steel and oak lugged Epic from Hoover?) no one bought it.

I'm waiting for Veloria's post comparing modern wi... sorry ... metaphysically gifted women's outfits - modern vs traditional. You know, do modern fabrics Wiccan better, that sort of thing.

I can understand people nostalgia but this is really just not how people ride brooms these days. Carbon Fiber just makes sense due it's flex modulus and easy newt'ear storage on the inside.

Here's a great example of a project 1 paint job:
