    Sometimes they’re a bandaid.

Just watched the video. Holy crap.

Grab the bar and saddle, and try manipulating the frame, twisting it. Do the same grabbing the rear wheel and saddle. That creak is nasty. While I don’t think anything is broken, there’s definitely something moving. I’d almost think saddle and post. If the bike were in my stand, I’d ride it without a post and see if it still made the noise.

My usual response to these hard to find squeak posts:

Can you duplicate the sound with the bike on an indoor trainer or rollers?

If so get a mechanic's stethoscope and have a friend locate the exact source while you ride the bike.
    (or vice versa)

    Good Luck

A whole lot of speculation on this thread, and I know firsthand just how hard it can be to track down a rogue creak. Just a helpful reminder to the thread participants of this quote from the OP's first post:

"The persistence of the creek after the replaced bottom bracket prompted the mechanic to do the wheel swap, isolating the creak to the rear wheel."

I'm very curious to see if it was indeed the wheel.

OP should simply ride his bike with some borrowed rear wheel. Even a quick ride around the parking lot of the LBS should do the trick as it seems to be creaking constantly.
