Another fine morning on the two wheeled wonder machine and a nice surprise, which was fresh from the oven when I arrived back home. Can you tell that we've been married for almost 34 years? I had two by the way.

My wife said "I've made cookies, but they burned on the bottom, so you can have them all."

I've got 100 things per day until Thursday, then daily riding re-commences.

Sunny Sunday spin around Cutler Park.

Trails are almost clear. Frequent ice patches provide time for pictures...

No nice photos, and no epic ride reports. But I did cycle-commute everyday this week for the first time since breaking my elbow back in February. Mostly pain free now, and ready to try something longer soon.

Expected rain but it stayed dry, still cold and wet.

It was cold outside today but the baby need be scrubbed down.

Part two of the weekends events.
Caesar Rodney Half Marathon- Wilmington, Delaware: Garmin time 1:29:32 at 6:50's and official time 1:30:28 at 6:54's (USATF certified courses are purposely long)

I was hoping to just get 7:45-8:00 pace based on training times and well, the eighty mile ride the day prior. Surprised myself a bit and had a good time in the process. The back half has some tough hills ranging from long and grueling to short and punchy, took it out of me a bit but still ended pretty well. New half marathon PR today. Now I'm thinking by the fall I can try and go sub 1:25 maybe in Philly on a flat course.

^^^ Some people run marathons after a long ride. I take a nap.

First ride outside that was above 20F over the last 2 months.

Got out for 40 miles today before doing an umpire clinic the rest of the afternoon. I didn't ride yesterday, I got a last minute call to umpire in Oklahoma so I spent the day calling 11 under select baseball at the Choctaw Casino ballfields. I didn't stay for Choctaw Bingo but maybe that's just a song.

Pictures, nice sunny day. A close up the special edition dual compound Michelin Pollen Pro 4. Our state flower, the bluebonnet.

My wife's bike (and the rest of our other, less important, stuff) arrived in Germany from Canada after a 3.5 week shipping delay. Finally got to show her some of the great roads around here! Doesn't hurt that the weather was fantastic.

Yeah, it's spring. The rain is slightly warmer.

Owner said original. He wasn't too far from the Irwindale Speedway, so who knows.
