Default I'll tell ya what sucks...

...is finishing the construction of this bike just before I have to return to work and not having time to ride it. Then when I have 4 days in a row off and if I get home, the weather forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms on my days off....
    :frown:
I just want to ride it to give a full ride report!

I hate looking at pics of this thing on my iPhone between turns in and out of La Guardia.

Having a new bike at home is pretty exciting. Not being able to ride it is extremely bogus!!!

I live in hotels and airplanes but pay a mortgage on a house in Ada, MI.

    Have at it!

While you're there go ahead and ride the Serotta and the Look.:D

Are you looking for reasons not to ride?
My riding time is also limited due to work.
I just ride, stopped looking at the forecast - ended up riding for 17 consecutive days in the rain (some evening storms) June / July.

Mike made that thing to be ridden.
    Good Luck.

I hear ya. And I plan on riding it and not babying it. But when it's brand spanking new it hurts a bit more.....

When I lived in Switzerland there were times when it rained 17 days in a row. Been there, done that and am all too familiar with riding in the wet. I'm just done with the rain riding when it can be avoided.

I was riding through Ada last week, and I didn't see any open garages with Zanks in them...

I believe every time I have purchased a new ride it has rained on it's inauguration. May not be true but almost. Ride anyway.

You know what, SAAB. I got yer back. I feel ya. Its uncool to baby a bike, but we all do it to some degree.

I ride bikes in the rain all the time. But I got one bike that I don’t do that with. I like to keep it in as good shape as possible. I think that I would have trouble taking that bike out for its inaugural ride out in the rain. That first rain ride ages the bike a year.

I'm sure it will see asphalt before too long.

Wow....I feel for you. That is a nice bike and I can definitely empathize with the wishing you were home to ride it feeling while sitting on the tarmac, or in another Marriott Courtyard.

Have you ever considered moving the house to a state with fewer lake effect weather patterns? (OK, I know it's a heck of a lot easier to suggest that than to actually go thru with doing it!)

    Hmmm...
Put in for a transfer. I'd love to. Housing costs a
out east are still eye watering compared to the Midwest. Anyway, that dead horse gets beaten and recalculated every day in my mind but I don't need to subject anyone here to that.

As far as the weather? I love the seasons of the Midwest! And I bet there's less rain than out east.

Sitting at gate 6A at LGA. Gonna drive back to my base in Norfolk in about 30 minutes. Try to get up early and ride around VA Beach.

As far as racing it at Gratton? Yup! Absolutely!

At least it's time, not health keeping you from riding.

Gonna do Conte's or Fat frogs?

I have family in the area and I might be going down again for some spring break training. I'll let you know when I'm there next. Maybe we can ride.

Hope you get to go out and ride this weekend!

Great looking Zanconato - and with a slope on the tt even!

The color, the look of the bike, the black tape, it's all proper

Congratulations - Have you ridden it yet?

    How does it ride?

I rode it about 5 miles when I was home last, which was about a week ago or so. Maybe 8 or 9 days.

Probably not making this time either. Other things on the agenda.

Cliché - I'm going to show up for Fat Frog's ride. But I think on the weekend it ends up a bigger ride and mixes in with the Conte's ride I think. I'd like to get 50 miles in tomorrow. The only way riding here is really manageable is with a group. Otherwise too flat and monotonous.
