    Default I fear Ma Nature

I admit it, I am scared of that woman. Snapped these pics with my phone Monday night. Went from clear sky to what you see below in 5minutes.

That was actually the beginning of the invasion.

Little green people will soon be running around.

VSalon: all the news that matters.

Saturday was a lake day for me. After supper at a marina that night, we rode around in the boat watching the biggest heat lightning storm I've ever seen. It had to have lasted 2 hours +, with flashes every second or two that lit up a full quarter of the sky. Just unbelievable.

It's good for us to get a sense of our insignificance every so often.

You should be afraid of Ma Nature. She strikes hard when she strikes and she never loses. I deal with Ma every day in my work and always let her lead the dance!
This is what your storm looks like from another perspective - on top or next to the storm. This was last week just west of Philadelphia out the office window.

That middle pic has a touch of that eerie tornado-green, best to stay away from that.

Earlier in life as a fly-fishing guide I spent more than a few hours streamside waiting out Rocky Mountain lightening storms, some scary moments there.

So I'm standing in the Battenkill all one morning not seeing anything until over the ridge comes a thunderstorm, it opens up and son of a bitch there's brown trout the size of your leg everywhere. At the time I happened to be right under the railroad bridge upstream from Shushan. Do you have any idea how hard it was to stop waving a nine foot graphite stick in the air and climb out of the water?

    you and my lab.

she's up under my feet right now. she goes nuts if i'm not home with a t-boomer pops up (every day now for what two weeks).

it's snappin' and a poppin' out there now.

i love the morning showers--not nearly so "stormy".

but eff me if a dry spell wouldn't me nice about now. this daily chit is ruining crops and making my yard deep and feeding mosquito and fly explosions..trout.

Group of us went out tuesday night and about 10 miles in the wind picked up so hard the the tree limbs were getting blown onto the powerlines. 4th of July in June is a bit disconcerting when the sparks are falling between you and the guy to your right. Needless to say we found a kind homeowner 1/4 mile later that let us hang out in their garage. 15 minutes and all was clear again.

and if you're caught out--do the duvall character (on the hairy beach) from apocalypse (if anyone is around) they'll think you are a god. unless you get popped--and then, what the hey does it matter?

Hard not to get caught out in a thunder boomer round here this year. Every days forecast looks like a carbon copy of the day before
