On the ride, one bottle of H20 for drinking and dumping on my head, one bottle of sporty drink. Lately I've been using the Nuun tabs. Electrolytes only, no carbs, no sugar, nothing like that. It's easy on my stomach, and I can get my calories from food.

At the gas station mid ride, usually a can of coke.

At home, lots more water, but also beer and/or whiskey and/or wine and/or...

Pellegrino's alright. I like the Lurisia better tho.

For snacks at the StopAndPop I like cheesey crackers, pretzles or pringles.

I fill my bottle with orange squash (No added sugar) and stop off for water en route and snack on Quavers (cheese flavour corn snack) and Snickers. I also have Enduralytes because I cramp badly otherwise.

I recently switched from electro's (nuun) only in the water bottle to 1st Endurance EFS Sports Drink. Electro, carbs and protein all in the bottle.

Good gracious it's a huge difference! I'm hooked.

In the bottle; Weak solution of Tang. Long ride food; A PB and honey sammy and some fatfree Newtons. Short ride food; Usually nuthin'....sometimes some raisins. Really Loooong ride; Coupla bottles, (Tang again) Sammy of some sort, granola bars, Newtons, banana. Or a chese/jelly/onion sammy if'n it's November and I'm gettin' my Belgium on.

Post-ride>>>> Banana/strawberry/coconut pancakes, or Juevos Rancheros, or fride bologna sammies w/ red onion.

No stops. For up to a century, 72 oz. camelback w/ h2o, 2 x 24 oz Champion nutrition Revenge, 2 x Cliff mojo bars. The lower I keep it on the glycemic index, the better it goes. Bust on up to Tallahassee one day, you can get a little more heat and some hills to make it all worthwhile.

A ride last week ended up with me hooked to an IV bag at a Dr. friend's house.....getting behind the liquid curve hurts like hell. Normally I'm an H20 only kinda guy, and eat for carbs, protein, etc etc etc. I've not found a sporty drink that doesn't leaving me puking like one of the Olsen twins after a meal.

I misjudged my water yesterday. It was only in the 80s but I'd drunk my one and only bottle within 10 miles. After another 20 I was parched and came across an ice cream man who sold my an ice pop and a can of lemonade. Glorious gifts to a parched man.
