Default Giovanni Pinarello dies at 92

    Giovanni Pinarello dies at 92.

I had a Treviso from 1988. It was a little too small for me, but it could go around corners so fast sometimes I couldn't believe I'd made it through. The only thing I wanted more than that Treviso was a Montello, because it had SLX instead of SL. That extra letter obviously made it better! But since the Treviso was red, I wanted a Montello in the tricolor. Even beat to heck they look good.

A very nice man, with a great family business. Even at his advanced age, he was in his retail
shop many hours a week, where he obviously loved to be. He was a class act, always the best
dressed in the room, in an industry of t-shirt and sandal wearing retailers,
an example of how to raise the game of both design and professionalism.

I had an '87 Asolo (Cadore frame - Columbus Matrix tubeset - and Shimano 600) in Italian Ice. It was too big for me but I had to have it.

I eventually sold it to a MA College of Art hipster who was giddy to get his hands on it.

I had a Grewal-replica Tricolore Treviso in the late '80s - just like the one in your post, including absent decals... classic steel bike.
