Where I'm from, rods get tied down the top tube of the bike. Just in a fabric holder. Can carry 6 ft pieces if needed. Never broke on on the bike, while I once rode off the bank, into the harbour.

That looks like the Patagonia labeled Temple Fork tenkara. It already has the line holder on it for hopping from spot to spot.

When I had both my arms and legs before the war, I used to make my own oxygen out of stones that I ground together with a steel I-beam I forged myself from bacon.

Before vacation in the Smoky Mtns I picked up a mini sawtooth from tenkararodco. Sole reason for the mini was b/c of it collapses down so small. Turns out it can fit in my hip pack, no idea if it'll hold up long term, but it's super convenient and I can land fish with it.

So the Tenkara rod is a telescopic rod? I have yet to find any telescopic rod that had decent sensitivity to it, I'm a bit leery of their claims. In addition to that telescopic rods seem to fail pretty quickly at the joints, or whatever they're called, adding to my leeriness.

They are the opposite of your previous experience.
