    Default De Ronde Treasures

YouTube has had pirated videos of spring classic races going back into the 1980s, but Flanders Classics seems to have actively made available high quality, full length video available for the Tour of Flanders from 2016-2019. Just as good, and perhaps more interesting to some, are the "Behind the Scenes" productions which are extremely well edited and had me on the edge of my couch even though I have watched the races multiple times over the years while sitting on the trainer.

Agreed. Those videos are so much fun to watch, mostly for the in-car banter of the DS.

I'm sorry but Steels and Peters need a comedy special on Netflex next. They are that funny.

I had stumbled on those a week or two ago and had the same reaction -- especially about Steels and Peeters, @Wisco!

And shame on me for not even thinking that posting here about them would be a contribution. Next time.....

Watching the inside car stuff is great. Totally uninspiring pair in the Lotto car who bicker and make frequent errors. Actual sense of caring in the Quickstep car when Gilbert comes alongside and says he's cooked. Everyone in every car is worried about Nikki Terpstra when he crashes. Listening to Papa Van der Poel while Mathieu is blowing through the peloton on the climbs.

I love these videos. All of the footage that we rarely see on TV is often the most incredible to watch. My favorite scene by far was of the broadcast crew in the helicopter working the switchboard. It’s all almost more fascinating than the racing.

Thank you for turning me onto this.

I've watched these races, but this is new and interesting content for me.

    Enjoyable.
