    Default Day trip to Kona

    One of you chuds is going to get some killer organic green soon. It is up to the rest of you to figure out who it is and go share some.

    So.... What happens if you try to put the beans in a smoker? Smoke then roast? Or just a really long smoke?

    I have no idea how to handle the killa green. I leave that to the experts.

    I'm sure that's some good stuff. I don't like pineapple. That is until we did a plantation tour on Maui and got to machette into a fresh one. That was unbelievable.

    The pineapple grown on Maui is a sweeter and lower acid hybrid than the stuff that comes from Costa Rica.

    Nothing better than the last pineapple field before you see the water in Haleiwa. Still remember my first time.

    I vote for ME - I'm selfish like that when it comes to shit that good!
    I drank coffee in Bolivia under the tree it was grown in - one of the finest cups ever, maybe the best.
    Joe Murray was not a coffee drinker and he had a cup and pronounced it sublime and then started bugging out.
    I had a 2nd.
    PS - will trade for chili products!

    My first experience with Kona was a novelty shirt that was dyed with the stuff. Smelled real good. I miss it.

    Garro do you roast your own beans? The stuff I got is green beans scooped out of a burlap sack sitting on a scale next to the roaster.

    Two best cups of coffee in my life:

    The day Peets opened in the Financial District (never quite as good as that first brew);
    Some random restaurant just outside of Kona.
    GO!

    Aloha Theater Cafe. The cup was good enough to distract my wife from the sizeable spider above our table.
