    Default CX Racing 2009 season

Who's racing? Show of hands. How many races you have planned?
My 'Vagen should be ready and rebuilt for action next week than I can begin the campaign. I dig it, totally a mind eff'. After so many yrs. of other bicycle disciplines I'm really enjoying my time on the CX bike at "full-puke".

Pssssssssssst in case you have not heard Cross Effin' Rulz <=== That plus a random cupcake and I'll be in the proper spirit.

I'm planning on doing my first race(s) this fall.
Just ordered the new frame from Jerk.

Of course, the whole thing started with ordering e-Richie's t-shirt. Seriously.
Can't wear the shirt without having walked the walk!

I'm eager to report back with dirt in my teeth and grit in my eyes.

First race is tomorrow. It's local, and I'll be going down to help with course setup (and secret recon) this evening.

    I have 17 +/- a couple races planned for the season.

    Default Il Pompino SS

I'll be out contesting as many Cross Crusade races as wife and young kiddos will allow. Prolly at least 5. I also plan to finish things up with getting my ass thoroughly pounded at the USGP in Stumptown. Then to Bend for NATIONALS!!! Really looking forward to that.

All singlespeed. All pain. It's how I pay penance for all my sins from the year.

Default It's the season I live for!

    Third year racing Cross.

All this summer riding is just base building for cross season - nothing beats the feeling of wanting to die for 45 minutes and having to run and jump in between.

Got the FMBs (thanks muskgrave) all glued up this week. I'm planning on racing most weekends starting last week of September - even going to take the Spot Single speed belt drive out for a few double-up race days with the single speed kids. That will be painful!

Looking forward to another great fall/winter with a bunch of like minded crazy cool cats.

    WhooHooo let the pain begin.

And, to be clear, given I live in wonderful Colorado - Cross season is really just training for ski season, which is training for road season which is training for cross seasons.... you get the point.

I'm racing every race in the region and will be make this my first season of nothing but singlespeed. a shame we don't have the numbers to justify a SS category around here. Big highlight for me will be iron cross.

I am helping coordinate a grass roots CX team and racing SM 35+ and Cat 3's this year.

There are 8-10 days of racing on the books and blessed by my wife. The 3 kids are already practicing their cowbells and yells.

    Fall is the best.

I'm racing my first cross season this fall. Plan on doing as many as the txbra events as possible plus the Tuesday nighters at Dirt Derby here in Austin.

Default My first season of racing cross

Looking forward to my first efforts in cross racing. My main goal is to not be too disruptive to you more experienced folks as I muddle my way around. Should be lots of fun.

My first cross of the season will be the Madison USGP races. Not quite sure what bike I'll be racing there. I'll be hitting it totally cold cross-wise. On the plus side, the weekend before I'll be racing Chequamegon on the tandem with my wife and that always leaves me strong like bull.

I started my cross season late last year and finished so much stronger mentally than previous years.

I'll probably start the Cross Crusade when I usually do at Alpenrose in Two weeks.

Racin' here. Cat 3, maybe a Masters race or two. Barring any surprises I'll do all of the NC Fall series if (9 races I think) and then winter cup (5 races) starting up again in JAN.

I live for my kids and cross season.

Wife says I can go to 8 or so.

Year two for me. Last season I only raced the BASPS series of 5 races as a C. I managed a couple of top tens and a 7th overall placing for the series so I figure it makes sense to race B's this year. I'm two races into the season and feel like I'll be able to hang OK. I'll probably do a few of the LARPD races in the East Bay, the Pilarcitos/BASPS series, the Lion of Fairfax and maybe a few of the Santa Cruz races. Looking forward to a good year!

    Default 15-18

i've got 15 to 18 races marked on my schedule. hoping i can exceed that number but i bet jewish holidays, christian holidays, spouse mandated vacations, and other unforeseen events will keep me below 18.
