I love Boure jerseys and socks.
I want to love their bibs.
Unfortunately they have a seam placed in the worst possible place for me.
Like sandpaper applied to my taint.
So bad I can't even wear them for my short commute to work rides.

Try the Elites - choice of many ultra riders.
Chamois is personal, I love the thin chamois Pros and can ride in them for days.

Thanks for your input, everybody. Given some of the consistent recommendations, I'm going to order up some Giordana bibs and see where they take me!

Surprisingly I have a few inexpensive bibs that I bought from aliexpress tto carry commuting duties hat seem to be more durable and comfortable than a few higher end bibs from renowned brands. That said I'm not a princess and the pea.

I really really like the Giordana FR-C pro bib shorts. They are exceptional in comfort on the bib straps. I don’t like straps that are so thin that they get all spaghetti bunched up. The pad is great and these shorts are so supportive in the crotch that I don’t bother with chamois cream. Actually, I’ve cut back on my miles as I’ve gotten older and went from only doing chamois cream on weekend long rides to not ever anymore. To do this (no cream) and not get a lot of chaffing on long rides, it becomes even more imperative to find the best fit bib shorts that fits your crotch anatomy. Sorry to be so crass, but it’s the truth.

The one thing that bugs me about the Giordana FR-C shorts, and a lot of cycling apparel in general is the price. If the FR-C shorts are too expensive, you might want to try the Giordana Silverline bibs. I have two pairs. They are less expensive than the FR-C and I’ve found them to be excellent especially for the price. Oh also, I just bought some Giro Chrono Pro bibs recently that are fantastic! I’d rate them about the same level as my FR-C shorts. Caveat on the Giros though. They have a really long inseam, so if you are about average to below average in height, you might want to pass. The long inseam is why they’ve gotten some mediocre reviews on Amazon. However, the fit and feel of the Giros are superb.
