    Default Burlington, MA

I'm going to be in Burlington, MA for a week (18-25 June) and have nothing to do but ride a bike and make a few appointments.

Does anyone have any knowledge of routes there? I may have the ability to drive to a loop if there is something that can't be missed in the nearby vicinity.

As I live west of there I recommend driving west of there.

And if you can rejigger that loop to start and finish at mile 66, that's the Stone Cow Brewery, which is fantastic.

Going North to Cape Ann is a good option, although a bit traffic heavy in the summer. Beverly-Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, Ipswich.

That stone cow head is art. Future archaeologists will think better of us when they find it.

A trip to the MIT Haystack radio observatory is always a good option. Here is the route from Ride Studio Cafe in Lexington, shouldn't be too much trouble to get to from Burlington:

Burlington area is pretty busy, hope you have a car. Yes north shore (Boxford, Georgetown) is great. Heading out west and doing a ride up Mt Wachusett (princeton, sterling, barre) and even further out, towards Oakham, New Braintree are massively great riding areas, rolling hills, low traffic

Having grown up in Western Mass, and later living in Boston, I can agree that driving a little bit to ride these roads is worthwhile! I'm saving this loop to do when I'm back over the summer.
