One of the common question around election time is whether you are better off than 4 years ago.
My questions is whether your bike stable is better off than 4 years ago, and whether your riding is better off than 4 years ago?

I have the same road and track bikes I had four years ago but I now have a cross bike. So; Hell Yes! I'm better off.

For sure. Way better.
My bike stable is certainly better but I get slower every year. Four years ago I was 48 and now I'm 52. When will it stop??!!
No and yes.
Stable worse off, for sure. Foolishly sold a Serotta last summer in preparation for a move. Miss that thing. Now down to two bikes: heavy-ass commuter/tourer and a feather light mountain bike. Hoped to buy a suitable replacement for the Serotta this spring/summer but homeowner crap got in the way. Maybe for Christmas Santa will bring a Mudhoney or Cafe Racer.
Riding is definitely better and attributable to joining a club and not being such a loner on the bike. For me it's mostly mental. I can go longer and harder when I have to keep up with others and maintain a conversation. No way I would've tried something like D2R2 four years ago...wouldn't even have known about it except through meeting others this past year.
4 more years!
Better riding and better stable here. No complaints on the bike front.
Better bikes. Less riding. Not a good trade. Just the truth. Not whining.
fitter for sure, same bikes, better wheels, lower bars, longer stem (not much),less real time to ride but still making the best of it when I can.

Much better off! I sold off a few bikes to finance frame building equipment and now I have 2 of my own and 7 others built for friends/family/bike shop buddies. Now I need to figure out the business side of things and prepare to make a go at it.
Same road bike. Older and more beat up. Better cross (dirt/winter commuter) bike. Now 54, not 50, but lighter and faster than 4 years ago. And my 10-year old disabled son can now do tandem rides. No complaints here.
Got a Zanc cross bike. Met you folks (again). Did D2R2. Way, way, better off.
Four years ago I was 43, thinner, and was commuting 3-4 days a week. Now I have cooler bikes, bigger gut, and less hair.

In the last 4 years I have added a Sachs, a Zank and a Crumpton. Typing this it makes me think I have to stop buying bikes ;-)
