I'm planning to bring the family for a couple of days. CX nationals is just a good excuse to go to one of my favorite places in the world.
Anyone up for a Vsalonistas meet-up at Firestorm or the Drunk Monk?

Going with a few of my buddies for the 50+ and 55+. The paradox is that our teammate who has the best chance to do something big (the 45+ MAC champion) is staying home. I'd be up for VSalon brews Weds on. Monastic experience until then to secure my mid-pack finish.

Will be spectating the weekend. Have not checked the schedule for Saturday. No need to see the industry race for me.
I will be there, Wednesday thru Sunday. Totally down to clown, as always. Let's pick a spot and do it up. First round on me in appreciation for the Salon helping so much in a thread last week. Rowdy

Cool. I'll reach out to some of the locals but let's plan for something Wednesday evening so it'll be post-race for the racers. I'm thinking the Thirsty Monk downtown (Drunk Monk is someplace different apparently) but will see if the locals have any better recommendations.

Ill be volunteering.Seeya there.
I'm going, mostly just to try to get some quality training rides in.
What are the must do road loops? I'm still working out housing and would be interested in knowing where to stay to have easy access to good terrain but also not be far from quality food.
Ill be there, my wife will be racing in the elites field so Ill be supporting as much as I can. Wont be able to bring a bike sadly, Asheville is an awesome place for more than the aforementioned cycling routes!
cheers
My wife will be there giving out Soulrun belts. Keep an eye out and say hi.

Just posted a thread in the events section. Hope folks can make it to the Thirsty Monk downtown on Wednesday.
I'm also planning to get in some riding and could meet up any day but Friday for a few hour ride. Big fan of Firestorm if that's a good meeting spot.

Ok... so apparently my favorite worker-owned, anarchist-leaning cafe/book shop moved from its previous location in downtown Asheville. I'm good to meet up where ever is good for a ride.

Anyone clear on the wrist band procedure and cost? How about shuttle info?
Thanks!
-Joe
That is, if anyone's looking for a nice place to stay out of town, a DD into town, etc. ...
I think wrist band is $15 for the week. See if I can find the page.

So, if you are there or in the know... How much are wristbands? Friends meeting us there, no mention of how much it cost to get to the race venue? They are not cycling enthusiasts, and do not care to pay a kings rsnsome...0

Yea, I keep hearing $15, but also hear you have to buy a pass to the biltmore estate.

$15 is word on the street. I don't believe you have to buy pass to the big house, but your wristband gets you discounted admission. I got an annual pass instead since I live in Asheville and will go back. $99 if you sweet talk em.
