    Default Anybody looking for 57 tt bikes?

    I stumbled on this the other day.

    Mr. Saiz formerly of Once and Liberty Seguros and Astana fame is looking to liquidate his bike collection.
    To say that there's some cool shit for sale is an understatement;

    Besides all of the one off "look" frames(a few Kleins and Litespeeds, plus goddknowswhatelse) and one-off giants(24"/650c/you name it) there is some straight-up kooky shit that I've never seen. Like Nike TT bikes.

    According to the ebay auction he's only willing to sell all 57 bikes in one transaction- the auction is closed and there is a 3 day showing at his house.

    Now I'm not legal expert, but I'm guessing that Mr. Sainz may be raising some capital for some sort of legal defense...

    Dang! I didn't notice how trick that bike was at all. That's about as werks as it gets. Clearly an severely underbuilt climbing bike. Single event bikes are super fun to build.

    Solo time trial bike for a blind triathalete just seems like a really bad idea!

    I saw that auction and was wondering what the deal was? Now it makes sense. I love how he used to run the front Dt shifter on a lot of the team's bikes.

    And probably still heavier than an S5 with powermeter and 50mm wheels. In some respects we've come a long way in 10 years.

    Freaking amazing gallery. What a trip. I still lust after those team ONCE bikes. I remember reading about Manolo's fanatical obsession with saving weight. His riders were banned from wearing necklaces when racing. Those bikes were always better prepared than others to the point that David Millar said they struck fear in their competitors.
