Default Amulet / Symbol / Trinket to ward of snakes needed

I have seen too many rattlesnakes in the last two years. Being a scienctist, I know the only way to avoid them on the trail is to employ voodoo or the spirit world or superstition. Are there any symbols or mojos that has been used to ward off rattlesnakes or poisonous snakes. Please be respectful to other people's cultures.

Get a St. Patrick medal brazed to your head tube.

Hamsa. A symbol that occurs in a number of cultures.

I had a very simple wooden netsuke from Japan - a small rosewood box - containing some things from a place I used to live as a sort of general talisman.

I also once had a stone from a perfect day in the Swiss Alps that I carried in my pocket for a long time as a similar sort of talisman.

When at some point or other I realized that I had lost those things, I figured they had lost their protective abilities. I haven't gotten another one. I actually found the netsuke almost a year after losing it, but it still felt like it was now just an object.

Mostly I just try not to step on snakes.

Wear lots of patchouli and sing Mommas and Papas songs outloud. Works for me.

I used to have a girlfriend who wore patchouli. She was possibly more dangerous than a rattlesnake. Probably could have used an amulet against her back then.

Get a dog. They will find them all for you.

    Cheers,

Dogs are not allowed on most trails out here. Secondly, its not fun trying to pull a dog away from attacking a venomous snake. Ask me how I know.

I was just bitten by a bat on a night MTB ride. any bat amulet suggestions? I am hoping that the rabies vaccine I've had to inject does not counteract any potential superpowers which might be gained from such an experience.

Garuda is a bird creature from Hindu mythology that has a mix of eagle and human features. He is the vehicle (vahana) of Vishnu and appears on the god's banner. Garuda represents birth and heaven, and is the enemy of all snakes.

Now, how do I get this image made into a 3x3inch vinyl decal?

A tall bike drives away most living things. Short of that, a garden hoe is the best tool for the job.

Rattlesnakes taste like chicken. Ask me how I know. Not to mention the bitchin' hatband you'll make to earn your leatherwork merit badge. #sashstrong

I hesitate to say that we dated the same woman. Smart, beautiful, interesting and last I heard in jail for attempted murder. No joke.

That would make a great tattoo. And I'm not really into tattoos. Plus, you'd never forget to bring it with you.
